I was notified of a not as described return from a buyer on Tradesy. I think I am being scammed by buyer. The buyer requested to buy the dress on Friday but she wanted to have it sent next day because she needed it for a special occasion. It was an extra amount which she agreed to pay. The total amount was $165.00 with shipping. I was tracking it on Sat to make sure it was received and it showed delivered. One hour after delivery I get an email from Tradesy that I have a request for return and it needs to be reviewed by customer service. There was no reason for the return and could not contact Tradesy. Buyer did not contact me regarding problem or respond back to me. I think she is going to wear the dress and try to return. The event is Sat and she has until March 28th to return dress to Tradesy. If Tradesy finds in favor of the buyer and returns it back to me is there anyway to dispute it or do I have to just accept it.
Thanks

Also, this sucks because I am leaving on March 24th for vacation and this probably will not be settled by then.

UGH! Oh no. BOO.
I have no words of advice, but maybe you should call them as a heads up?

GO to "Help" then "FAQs" then "Returns" then "I am the seller". A screen will pop up to send them an email. Maybe you could request a CS rep call you because you really need clarification on a return and you cannot find the resolution on their page.
GOOD LUCK!

Thanks. I did that and I am waiting. You get a canned response that a rep will respond between 24 and 48 hours. Their customer service sucks.

They will get back to you - they've been helpful to me. Tradesy handles all returns IAC so you wouldn't have to deal with it physically yourself, but this is so obviously a scam that they need to be alerted.

Do you put tags on your items? I do and had Tradesy note on my account that items should be returned with the tag attached. I was a business seller then and the rep I had suggested it be noted.

Good idea chic. I tag all my items (whenever possible) but never would have thought to give the CSR a heads up about it.

CS reps at Tradesy are pretty good. I hope you get a nice resolution.

From what I know Tradesy gets the item back, reviews it and checks to see who is right. If it is SNAD they send it back to you and take back the money ( which should already be on hold).
If it's fine, they keep it and resell it themselves and release the money to you.
It's a pita because it takes a long time.
Thats how they used to do it. I think it's still the same way but not 100% sure.

I am just worried since she claimed not as described that she might ruin the dress so she can get her money back instead of credit. I am still waiting for Tradesy to reply back to me.

That's always a possibility in this biz. We'll keep our fingers crossed for you.

Well, I just got back from vacation and checked my Tradesy account and the money has been released. I did not receive an email about what she is claiming but looks like they decided it was not misrepresented. I think she was trying to return after wearing it on her special occasion. Everything worked out.

My vacation was great thanks for asking. I came home with a cold so have not been able to do very much. Well, I thought the return saga on Tradesy was over because the funds were available for transfer which I did on Monday. I got no email from them stating it was not ok. Today I get an email from them stating my account has been suspended because the return was inspected and found to be in fact misrepresented and they tried to withdraw the money but of course it was already transferred. Well, they want me to pay them back. The reason for the return is the zipper pull is missing. I checked my pictures and luckily you can see very clearly on the side of the dress the zipper pull. I always make sure zippers work before going out. My guess is she tried on the dress and broke the zipper pull off because it was too small. I will have to call and speak to someone and hope they will agree because now the dress is no good because the zipper pull is missing.
Thanks for letting me rant.

It's going to be interesting to see how they handle this compared to Ebay. I'm sorry you're dealing with it.

No I emailed twice more and it is just being ignored. I am not going to do anything until they answer me. I guess I will not be selling anymore on Tradesy. I only sold about 3-4 items a month so no big loss. If they want anything back from me they need to at least acknowledge my side of it.
Thanks

Tradesy finally returned my email after 10 days. They offered a $20 credit. I emailed back and said that is unacceptable because there was nothing wrong with the dress. They did not even acknowledge the picture of the zipper pull in my listing. Oh well I told them to close my account. I will keep the money because nothing was wrong and they need to stand behind their policy and resell the dress. They released the funds in the first place so I do not know why they are back tracking.
Ebay at least listens to both sides when there is a problem and tries to find a solution for both buyer and seller. Also, I do not even have the dress anymore to see how much damage there is to the zipper.

Also, does anyone know if they can withdraw the money from Paypal if my Tradesy account is closed.
