I know, I know, it's never been very busy. But it the past year I got used to selling 25-30 items there each month. There were days when I sold 2 or 3 items and once I sold 5. Since New Year (and fees hike) it has been slower and slower. In February I sold 13 items. So far this month I sold 3! Is this just me? Does Tradesy also manipulate search like ebay does? I am very upset by this... a little extra income from there has been nice.

I usually have 1 sale per month on Tradesy. But last week, I got 2 sales within 15 minutes of each other. And 1 sale was just minutes after someone else asked a question about it on Ebay. Freaked me out a little, but both were really good sales so...

I'm not any slower than normal but I really don't sell too much there.
What I did notice is what you guys mention, sales spurts. So I wonder if they control views like Ebay?
I got 3 sales all within an hour. Nothing the week before.

I only have about 6 things listed there. It's been a year since I've sold anything there. My one and only sale!
I need to move some stuff over there though. You know, just in case.....

I have few sales at Tradesy but they are often good ones for higher priced items. (3 January, 6 February and only 1 so far in March) so it's hard to tell really if it's slowing but I wouldn't be surprised. I think they are in a race to the bottom with clothing, in particular. Also, they keep wanting to know if my long standing listings are still active and maybe they hide them until I say yea or nay, don't know. But I can't be "updating" something that hasn't changed. I wish they would just show them until I delete them on my own. I apparently have 579 items there. I don't lower my prices, as a rule, so I wish they would quit asking.

Tradesy has always been slow for me, but after a sale came out of the blue I started listing there again and sales trickle in, one here and one there. I have about 115 items up there now. I have no expectations, really, but if I had been selling 25+ items a month there I would also be concerned. Clumping sales tells me there's some search manipulation going on. Also they flog the same tiresome stuff every.single.time. Same old designer brands - they used to advertise their "other" section.
Etsy is following the same pattern for me, I used to have between 20-30 sales on there a month (higher dollar sales there) and now have maybe 5-10.

Just got a Tradesy sale today. Maybe it's good mojo to talk about it.

I noticed that I became "unverified" again. So, I verified myself for the second time and BAM 2 sales in 2 days...

Hmmm... I think the problem with slow sales was really caused by me somehow becoming "non-confirmed". Since I reconfirmed myself on March 14th I've has 4 sales. Which is exactly my average there.

How can you find whether you're verified or not?
I'm going to work on getting all of my Misook/Ming Wang and shoes cross posted there.

I went to update my contact information, and a pop up came up to "reauthenticate" my account!
I'll go ahead and transfer some of my NWT items over there.

So I got some stuff transferred over (taking a quick break) and I have some questions/comments:
-How many items do you have listed there vs how many you sell per month (50 items with 1 sale a month, 500 listings with 2 sales a month, etc) -How can I find you there? So I can follow you and love some of your items (and maybe you could do the same for me?) -As far as "stale" listings, I think you could go in and change a couple of the "tags" you have? Change them around? Show some kind of activity to dust your listing off?
Just some thoughts - now back to the grind.

I have over 550 listings, here's my store www.tradesy.com/closet/makinmagic/all/?sort=recently-listed I double list on ebay and there. My average sales are 25-30 items a month, it's been like this for about a year. I do tweak my old listings from time to time, but it's just way to many of them. But you're right, I should dedicate an evening to lowering prices and tweaking tags on stale stuff.

I just followed you, Makin - you've made almost as many sales as you have items up! This is mine: www.tradesy.com/closet/chapeau-noir/Liz, I'll follow you, Frakin and anyone else. I'm going through the process of verification now. I hadn't explored that really before.

Hello, there. I think following a whole/closet or store is fine. I hope it does something for search but I'm not sure that it does. As far as following/loving specific items that you aren't really interested in, I'd rather not. It gives a false sense of the general interest in that item and now, with Tradesy, it will result in some kind of notification every time that item goes on sale which would be a real PITA. I just signed up to participate in their knock _% off everything when they have a sale. I had to raise my jewelry prices there because of that. Here's me; I'll participate in following you too: stores.ebay.com/bivy-designer-discounts www.etsy.com/shop/FritziRitzVintagewww.tradesy.com/closet/fritziritz/

Just made a sale on a Ming Wang jacket! Price $30 higher than what it's listed on eBay.
Now I'm a little more motivated to move some more of my NWT stuff over.

I don't think I'm verified, and I can't find anywhere to do it on the site. Where can I find it?

I don't think I'm verified, and I can't find anywhere to do it on the site. Where can I find it? Go to "payouts", there on top of the page, on the right, next to "available balance" it will say one of two things: "ID verified" or "verify now" or something like that.

Liz, you have exactly the stuff that sells on there! I'll start just liking shops instead of items - that's a good point. So now I'm verified - no sales but it's slow all over for me. I had 4 sales today on eBay and one on etsy and almost passed out.

I would not have looked under Payouts.

My shop is www.tradesy.com/closet/1514930/I'll like everyone's above. And Liz, thanks for mentioning Ming Wang and Misook - I had kept those brands OFF Tradesy, thinking they were too "old" for the buyers....

And Liz, thanks for mentioning Ming Wang and Misook - I had kept those brands OFF Tradesy, thinking they were too "old" for the buyers.... I used to keep a lot of things off there. I'd randomly list some J. Jill and Chico's, but very little. Until one day I sold 3 Chico's Zenergy jackets to the same buyer!

For now, I'm concentrating on getting all of my NWT stuff there.

I list anything there save for my world clothing and artisan stuff. I have trouble finding enough brand name stuff to list there so it doesn't matter to me. I've sold Fresh Produce, Flax, Chico's, Mycra Pac, etc.

I've sold Levi's, Tommy Hilfiger, Mossimo, Avenue, Fashion Bug, and Vanilla Star there, along with Sergio Valente, Eileen Fisher, and Louben. Not a lot of sales, but some...and that's better than none.
