So I was doing some eBay cruising and came across THIS LISTING The price is crossed out and underneath is says to "See item price at checkout". Is this something only the big box companies are allowed to do? Either way, it's annoying as hell and I will REFUSE to buy from any listing that does not show their actual price. I don't care that it's one extra step, but still.

Click on it and it takes you to the price, which is $339 or so.
I wonder if eBay is trying to copy Overstock? Overstock does this on some items, my guess is it's a limited time sale and limited quantities (at Overstock). Regardless of why, I don't like it at Overstock and I don't like it on eBay either.

Funny, because this is an overstock listing.
I have never understood the "click here for price" or "see price at checkout" mentality. To me, it's just like setting a reserve. Just list the damn price already!

I think there's a possibility it has something to do with an arrangement Overstock has with the product manufacturer.

I've not seen it on eBay but on Amazon and Best Buy I think? It is usually for electronics stuff, that is supposedly such a super duper blow out deal that they can't tell you what it is. I hate it too.
