Given the potential for initial confusion and kinks to work out, kudos to Etsy for not introducing the new system during the holidays.
Yes! eBay would have launched it the day after Thanksgiving or something.
I have direct checkout so we'll see what happens.

OH, this is good news! I go on Etsy binges where I'll suddenly buy 10 things in 1 sitting, so that should be handy.
Definitely kudos for waiting til after the holidays!

Are you required to enter all that information about your checking/savings account? All I have on record is PayPal and I would rather keep it that way. Not if it would interfere with sales though. But I really wish I didn't have to give my banking information out--I don't think I ever gave it to ebay.

If you have stand-alone Paypal you won't be in multi-seller checkout and don't need to worry about it. People can just pay you with paypal as they always have - I don't think anything changes save the credit card icons were taken off the paypal symbol - for some reason this upsets some sellers, but anyone who uses paypal should already know that they can use their credit cards through paypal.
I'm in direct checkout and Etsy has always done direct deposits into my checking account, so I'm automatically included in the multi-checkout. I also take paypal, gift cards and whatever else. No pigs or cows, though.

If you sell glass art, raku or homemade health & beauty, you may in luck :-)

jewelry, jewelry, jewelry and a couple of dolls. I took a peek as I do buy some jewelry there, but I'm afraid yours is not my style. Dolls I have 0 interest in. You have some unique pieces for sure, just not for me.

jewelry, jewelry, jewelry and a couple of dolls. I love Frakin's shop! Those sunburst earrings are stunning! If I didn't wear six earrings as it is, It would be perfect - it's just my style. If I had tons o' dough I would purchase that grapes and vines bracelet for my wine-loving cousin.

Thanks for looking ladies. I have a real backlog of jewelry so look again after awhile. Just bought some really fun Barry Kieselstein-Cord pieces today. He's a designer on my bucket list so I'm excited about it.

He's a designer on my bucket list so I'm excited about it. I wish I knew more abt jewelry to know what to pick up. But I'm more of a 'I know what I like' girl, when it comes to jewelry & I like very simple, clean lines & bold, large stones. Most of my jewelry is custom designed pieces. Even the stuff I find on Etsy, I'm usually like 'can you do this, this & this'? to the seller. Here's one of my faves, but even her stuff is a bit too detailed for me. I have purchased several though. www.etsy.com/shop/RedPaw

"Fordite" - what a fascinating mineral! Wow!
I purchased from a seller on Etsy who specialises in steampunk jewellery a cuff with its center-piece an old pocket watch mechanism from an 1815 watch - when I received it, I took a magnifier to it and found the watch-maker's written engraving and "1796" on the mechanism. I have it on my desk - I'm kind of paranoid to wear it except on very special occasions in case something happens to the mechanism - it gets bumped or dinged or something.
Took me three months to pay for it on lay-away, but well worth it.
It's an amazing site.
