I just sold something & apparently have been paid, but I'm not sure where the $$ is. It's not in PP.
I set up my Etsy a/c so long ago, I'm not sure what I did. I looked on my "Shop Payment Account" and I see my bank checking a/c # is there. Not sure why. I see that I accept PP, but don't see my PP address anywhere.
Any advice?
Tks.

I forgot to add that it says "funds will be available Jan 5". Is there always a hold?

I have paypal allowed also but not one buyer has ever used it (not that I have a bazillion buyers). The buyer paid by direct checkout. They 'automatically' have direct checkout setup to go to your checking account. When it's the first time, it may take a bit longer cause they have to do that 'test' deposit stuff. Check if you can request an earlier deposit - that's what I did and it got deposited that night.

Your payment should be under 'revenue' on your dashboard page.
Funds are sent to the payment account on file every Monday (mine is my checking account and sounds like yours is, too), but you can request sooner disbursement - I usually just let the accumulated payments drop in every Monday. That yours is 1/5 availability to begin with may be because you don't have an ongoing selling history with them so maybe they do a 3 day hold before you can request early disbursement - I can't remember what it was in my case as it was 18 months ago.
I have my PP ID in there but am in direct checkout and do almost no business through paypal with Etsy, but be sure you check to make sure your PP is updated and correct if you set it up a while ago as some people do use PP.
Etsy basically does all the money handling - your shipping and everything is bundled into one fee structure (you purchase your labels basically from Etsy).
What I'd do is go ahead and ship so your funds are released and you see how the process goes.

OK, I get it now. I assumed it was all through PP like Ebay. Thank you.

Congratulations!! My first Etsy sale freaked me out. I had the 3-day hold too. But now If I sell something, I just let them deposit the $ to my bank account on Mondays. Unless it's a custom order, I ship next day.

Your money is available to deposit the next business day beginning 90 days from your first sale. Until then, it is 3 business days (New York time, so mine is available at 9pm PST).
You can no longer accept anything but Etsy Payment Account payments unless you're grandfathered in to accepting straight PayPal. I think stores opened after last October lost that option. People can still use PP to pay but it goes through the payment account, not directly into your PP.

I'm too brain dead lately to even check but I think mine goes into PP. It had better be! Congrats on your first sale, Marsha.
