I have this pitcher. Mine is flawed but still in good shape. The neck of the greyhound is cracked but has been repaired ( not by myself). On the bottom is a name, Hazel something or another. I can't read it. I found a few of them. Looks like one just like mine sold on Etsy for maybe 185.00. Not 100% sure. My daughter thinks it is some type of mass produced mold or at least mass produced. Anyone have any ideas? I've had it forever and it needs to find a new home. Thanks for any ideas! I'm not sure I can put other peoples links here so I'll wait for some help first. Thanks

I think it was made from a mold. My Mom used to have one with the same design but the glaze was green.
A friend made it for her in a ceramics class in the 60's.

Def looks like a poured mold item. Doing a quick search, I found quite a few, but none of them had the maker. I would guess tho', that that were many, b/c molds are made for a reason. The one thing I'd be sure to do is put sighthound in the title, b/c so many sighthounds are stylized & that broadens your market to whippet owners, IG owners, Borzoi owners, Ibizan owners & about 20 other not so well known sighthound breeds.

Oops, I just found this on one of the white ones. I wouldn't take this listing's word tho', I'd research.
1960's HOUSE OF LITZ, A VERMONT BASED PARIAN WARE COMPANY
BTW, I think it's rather funny that it has birds. Rabbits ok. Sighthounds are generally not bird dogs.

Oh, now I'm looking at it not on my phone - was it maybe one of those things people glazed themselves and then had fired? The name looks just kind of scratched in like it was just some woman and not the maker. And I didn't realize those were birds and a fox hanging there :-(

To me it looked like one of those things people made in ceramics class from a mold. They would crudely scratch their name in. But it's nice and the design is complex no matter what it is.
