CHRISTMAS SCAVENGER HUNT!!! UPDATED WITH PRIZE PICS!!!!

I'm giving everyone advance notice - the Christmas scavenger hunt will start tomorrow morning and run through Christmas Day, ending at 11:59 p.m. 12/25.

We'll have some nice prizes for the top 5 point getters. We'll announce those during the week.

AND!!! It gets better!!!

We'll have prizes for everyone else who gets at least 50 points/tokens collected. With a week of play time, if you read the board at all, you should easily be able to get 50 tokens These are surprise gifts, donated by several members (and we'll happily take more if you'd like to donate something, you'll need to ship to recipient though). Consider it a thank you Christmas gift to the members of VSC from the VSC members!

So watch for the floating Christmas icon tomorrow. I'll start it sometime in the morning, depends on when I get up.

LOL! No, it will be up earlier than that. Maybe even late tonight. It's not as much when I get up as it is how much techie tinkering do I have to do to get it to work right.

Start watching for it tonight, late. If I get it to work it will launch tonight. Otherwise, tomorrow morning probably by 10:00 MST.

Okey dokey. Finally got it set up and running. The hunt is on!

A few things to remember:

Once you hit 5 kittehs, you'll get a notice at the bottom right corner of the screen when there is a kitteh on the page and when there isn't.

Once you hit 10 kittehs in the basket, they'll start showing up more often. Who says cats aren't social?

Once you hit 20 kittehs in your basket, you'll start earning multiples with your clicks. Par-tay!

Try to collect at least 50 kittehs as we'd love to give you a gift! We have lots of gifts and it's good sutff! Make it to 20 (that's the longest stretch) and you'll be at 50 before you know it!!

Searching for the kittehs is a challenge since so many people have cat avatars and use cat smileys in posts.

Thanks again Val, I love this game.  And it gives me an excuse to avoid doing housework, it's much more fun to look for kittehs!

Seems like I ran into this for the T'giving one and the multiples are tied to the Halloween settings. I turned them back on, let me kmow if you start getting multiples now.

Great game, Val, and I think it is better with the single count cats.

Superior - once you have 20 of the cats in your basket then the cats that start showing up on the screen will randomly give you multiple points, anywhere from one to six points, so your score goes up faster from there.

Anytime you see the Christmas tuxedo cat on a page, click on it. Sometimes you'll get 'credit' for one click, other times more than one ("multiples"). One I just clicked on gave me 6 added to my score.

Once you hit 50, you'll automatically get a prize from the Admins' Stash O' Fun Prizes. Plus we have some nice prizes for the top 5 score getters. You can click and add points until December 25 at 11:59 p.m. MST.
