It's been so long since I sold anything on Etsy. Can anyone tell me where I can find the Etsy selling fee charged on a sale?

Ooops - I had read your post in the wrong tense - though you wanted general percentage.
Go to your Etsy dashboard and click on "your bill", once you're there, go down to monthly statements and click on that - this will show the breakdown of individual items.

Not including shipping?

The shipping label is a separate breakdown as you actually purchase those from etsy.
ETA: Go down the list and you'll see insertion fees, shipping labels and also 'transaction fee' which is the 3.5%.

Do you have to purchase shipping labels from etsy? I'm still in the dark ages and using the post office for my eBay sales. Is that an option with etsy?

You don't HAVE to but they want you to. If you don't (I use stamps.com), the number of 'unshipped' items you have increases. They've been asked MANY MANY MANY times to give us a way to mark something shipped without using their labels but nada. Some guy told me to call tech support and ask them to mark the stuff shipped. I just let it hang out; I know everything's shipped.

I just did it yesterday... printed postage on I kfrog because I had some on there, and manually marked it shippped in Etsy. Then entered the tracking.
All I had to do was click on the Mark as Shipped box...

Must be something new cause there was nuttin there like it. Poop! Can't do it without sending the 'your item shipped' notice - one of mine is from 9/2, not gonna send her a notice now.

I use the Etsy shipping labels. I find them really easy. Just make sure you change the date if you print the labels the day before you ship , like I do.

I'd use the Etsy labels - Etsy does obtain a small commercial discount and it's very easy. If printing them is a problem you can just do what Betty did after you take them to the PO.
There's been a 'item shipped' link there for as long as I recall (which actually is just about 18 months).
I'll be having to do the same thing tomorrow when I ship a box of purchases to NYC - a studio there wants me to ship their items to them using their own Fedex account.
