It takes a long time for me to sell, probably because I'm usually at the higher end of the pricing spectrum. But I notice I get a lot of views on it - like, enough that it really stands out compared to everything else.
Just wondering if anyone's had the same experience, or if it's a decent seller when priced competitively?
I have been able to sell things from their Conscious Collection at decent prices fairly quickly, but so far nothing else, just lots of looky-loos. I haven't found any of their collab stuff yet, but I know it exists. There's an Alexander Wang for H&M, for instance.

I'd never heard of them until they opened a store here a few months ago. I suppose I should go check it out at some point.

I rarely pick it up.
It's really trendy with the college kids here, so it's one of the few things that my thrift has priced really high.
I have gotten a few pieces before on sale days and they sat awhile but sold with an ok ROI.

I no longer pick up any H&M because most of the pieces I had took long to sell and didn't have any great profit in them. I think i have 1-2 left. They have cute styles, but I think because they are reasonably priced and tend run small (when I shopped there its what I found) people might just go there to shop rather than buy it online secondhand. IMO they have nice stuff, but nothing exceptionally well made and run many sales for great prices.

I'm impressed. They use assorted size plus models for their plus line on their website. Awesome.

I don't think it holds up particularly well. I don't even pick it up because it is so cheaply priced I didn't think it would be wortht the time to sell it unless it was something unique.

I should add that the only stuff I find is the run of the mill pieces that retail for $20 or less. I have never seen any of their designer/higher end stuff. I don't even think our stores carry it.

We are getting an H&M store soon in our mall. I don't pick it up unless it is NWT.

I snapped the designer/collection stuff up on the couple of occasions that I found it. I had a Lanvin for H&M long t-shirt thing that sold for around $80, IIRC. A Conscious Collection dress, however, took months to sell and I ended up only getting around $25 for it. Run of the mill H&M, I don't buy for resale.

My kids wear it. So I do sell some of it. This week they had a sale and most of their tops , sweaters, etc were 10.00.
It does not sell well for me and when it does it is usually under 10.00. Except for their jeans I can get a decent profit on those.

Thanks, everyone. I thought maybe if I lowered my prices they'd be quick sellers. I'd be willing to do that if they were quick movers.

Usually only if I buy something for myself and it doesn't fit or I get tired of it. Their stuff is cute, but is uber-cheap retail. I've had a few pieces sell quickly and others just sit.

For how cute the pieces are that I've picked up I can't seem to move it at the prices I want. Forever 21 is a slow seller for me too, despite it being really cute. It's just sold for so cheap in stores.

Odyssey, do you think you are getting views from people searching "H&M"? or are they searching by style keywords?

I think H&M. I don't have any special keywords.
But they very rarely watch and never buy. They just look. I wondered if it was a bot or something.

I've been walking around with an H&M gift card for probably 3 years now....I find it a really odd store. its junk. its forever21-ish and geared to the young. my dd15 doesn't like it either. I think its one of those places that there might be a gem or two hidden among the carp, but ours always looks like a cyclone hit it, I can never figure out their sales (is it ALL tops that are $10? clearance? one rack??). and invariably, when I DO find something to buy either the size I need is sold out, or the size I need is damaged, or none of the employees can figure out where exactly in the store there are more if I need a different size. its way too much energy to expend on a cheapo top. *I* much prefer forever21 if you are looking for that kind of stuff. I did, however, hear that they have really cute little kid stuff, but idk if that's true or not.
I don't buy for resale ever.

I have 1 H&M piece listed. A NWT dress. I can't get it out of my store for $15. I don't think I've ever paid more than $1 for a resale item for H&M and I will never pick it up again.

I have been seeing a lot of H&M lately but didn't look like a good seller so I keep passing on it. Some of it is cute but doesn't look well made to me.

It's not well made at all. It's what I call "disposable" clothing. Wear it once or twice and it's trashed.

I agree. Most of what I find is trashed. The couple of pieces that I did pick up for resale in the past, seemed to run small & sat forever even though they were larger sizes.

OK, this is too funny. My H&M dress ended today with no bids. Not even for $8.99. Got a message right after it ended from a lady that said she went to bid at the last seconds and she lost internet connection. She asked if I would be willing to resist it and pay $14 plus shipping.
I swear, if I wouldn't have posted about it, it would have never sold.

I sent a few H&M NWT tags to thredup and they rejected it. It's a hard sell for me.

It seems like a lot of times a brand is discussed and I will either sell it or find it soon after.

We are supposed to get an H&M in our mall and everyone seems excited since it is "high end" ? I never pick it up to sell.

denise, it is anything but high end. People are going to be really disappointed when it opens if that's what they're expecting!
Don't get me wrong. I own a couple of blouses from there that are cute. But they're tops I would only wear for a couple of hours, hand wash, hang dry and wear a couple more times. Anything more, and they'd fall to pieces.

I very rarely pick it up for resale, would have to be free or darn near close to it. Pieces just sit unsold forever, and am not impressed with the quality of some anyway. I think I might have one left that is slated to be donated.
But, like Terri said, the designer collaboration or collection labels MAY very well be worth picking up. IIRC, they did a garden print line a while back and a few boardies sold some pieces quite high.

I sold a skirt I owned last fall. It was probably 8 years old and sold for around $20. That's the only piece I've ever sold. That skirt was a blogger favorite when it was new. Someone must have remembered it.
