What do you use? I've been using FF for years with Safari as back-up (hate Safari). I like FF but there's probably something better available now.

I mostly use Chrome now. Used to use Firefox and Safari before that. I started having issues with both which may have been caused by ad blockers or the age of my computer or something else. Fan running continually, spinning beach ball, slow response.

Fan running continually, spinning beach ball, slow response. I was having constant freezes/crashes with FF but was also using an older Mac with an old OS (Snow Leopard) and don't know if that was an issue. I've now switched to a newer machine with El Capitan and have had no problems so far. Are there any issues with Chrome?

I use FF on my mac, with Safari as my backup. I have Chrome installed but I don't particularly like it (it really screwed up my PC) so I don't use it. Be aware that Safari does not play well with quite a few major websites. The buy button disappears on Catherines, it freezes at Avenue, etc. So far, FF has worked fine on all websites for me. I'm using El Capitan.

Color me boring--but I use Safari. I have Chrome and FF installed as a backup (had some problems with the update before last and Auctiva/Safari not playing well together). Honestly, I only use Safari for ease because the button for it is in the dock on that bottom bar. There is no preference as I really can't tell any.

Safari is the browser I use but I have Firefox as backup (Safari won't work with Google Play). Tried to install Chrome but couldn't because of a problem with my version of flash. I rarely have problems with Safari; I keep my Mac current with all the OS (El Capitan) & App updates.

I use Safari, I find it is best since it is for Mac. I have never had any issues of freeze-ups with it.
