I've been sending them bags like crazy. I think I sent 6 so far. One was supposed to be processed by 11/14 and still is not. The next one will be processed by 12/13.
I just got an email about the last two and they should be processed by 12/4.
So the one they have had for a month won't be processed before the two they got yesterday? I don't get it.
Anyone else having these issues?

I sent them one after I found a bag while cleaning up last month.
Took 2 weeks to notify me. They received it 10/31. Estimated processing is 12/19.
I don't think their system is very effective. I honestly believe they are this backlogged. I bet they get hundreds of bags of garbage they have to sort through a day. And depending on who you get to process your bag will depend on when it gets done. I imagine they have something like 5 "departments" and as bags come in they either go to department a, b, c, d, e, etc.....and it just depends on that "department". But that's just how I imagine it in my mind.

My last bag was supposed to be processed on October 18, and still wasn't processed two weeks later. I sent them an email and they let me cash out right away, without the 14 say waiting period once they finally processed it.

I used an old bag and when I asked about the different processing times, they said that the bags had gone to different warehouses in different states. They have several warehouses now but when they initially started there was just the one.

Thanks everyone. That clears it up some. I'll wait a bit and email them.

I emailed them and was told all bags were pushed back several weeks for processing. I was not happy.
Just now the CSR emailed me and asked how her service was and if I feel she addressed my concerns.
I didn't want to be mean to her because she didn't help me at all. So I just said that I won't be sending any more bags because I'm not happy with the processing time.

I had a similar experience - my bag was received on 10/18 and was supposed to be processed on 11/18 (but wasn't). I emailed asking when it would be done and got a reply that said "probably not more than 2-3 weeks from now". So when I got the "how did we do?" email, I told them I was very dissatisfied and wouldn't send in any more bags. I also got an email today that said they were taking a long holiday weekend to relax with family and friends -- uh, WRONG MESSAGE, guys!

I think they just sent me A "Dear John" email. The rep I replied to replied back and said "Sorry to hear that" and " wish you luck". They finally processed 2 more bags and have 4 more to do. In the meantime, I have more stuff to send them. They won't let me order another kit.
Oh well!

Maybe they're overwhelmed. I send them stuff to get it out of the house and hopefully get some money, so it's all gravy to me.

Lots of posts from unhappy / frustrated sellers on their Facebook page -- it sounds like they're totally overwhelmed: www.facebook.com/thredup/posts_to_page/They finally started processing my bag on 12/1 -- status still shows it's being processed, with no time estimate for completion.

Maybe I'm dense, but I don't get this seller's upset at all. Thred UP is simply doing what any smart seller does - buy low, sell high. If this seller doesn't like it, they need to go sell directly themself and skip Thred Up. And just like that I will NEVER sell on thredUp again. One of the accepted items in my bag sold for almost TWICE as much as I was paid for my bag. That is highway robbery. This service is not fair to sellers AT ALL. I expected a far better result and I am extremely disappointed.

Sounds like unrealistic expectations on her part. Maybe she's never sold anything to them before?
They finished processing my bag this morning. $138.20 payout for 20 items ($6.91 per item) and they took 2 items on consignment -- a decent payout considering these were all turds. This bag had an $8.99 s&h fee -- it sounds like the more recently ordered bags have higher fees ($9.99 and $10.99).

I'm hoping to clear some space and get 50 bucks max. If anything tells me I don't know what I'm doing in name brands, it's the lowness of my payouts relative to everyone else here - I was all happy with my first bag until I saw what others got. I will say this - the one consignment item they took for me, they did a terrible job of presenting and of course never sold. I told them to send it back to me and paid the shipping. It has another few goes and then I throw it into the donations bag and take the $30 loss. Geez - I can't even do thread-up right. Go me. Thread-up is a way for me to get rid of stuff I have no room for now so I'll let it still be gravy. But it is sobering.

Chap don't feel bad my payouts are very low too. They are about 30-40 dollars, not even 50. But that's what I expected. I am sending them stuff I would donate. They are all cheap brands or flawed, etc.
Maybe they are on to me because like I said above I still can't order any more bags. Oh well it was nice while it lasted.

I was surprised, I thought my payout would be much lower. And they didn't take all of my stuff -- the email said they accepted 71% and the remaining 29% was "responsibly recycled" (meaning they'll probably sell those bits on Ebay themselves. Harrumpf.) Also they listed several things with flaws as "like new", and 2 NWT items as "gently worn" (with no mention or pictures of the tags). Selling stuff there is really a last resort for me, I'll only send them things that were rejected by CM and the consignment stores.

We don't have CMs (only one Plato's Closet and it's all junior junk) and our consignment stores are very snooty - they all want to be Buffalo Exchange now or sell boring designer stuff. There really are very few places for me to get rid of decent stuff, and a few bucks more for a few items is just not enough for me to battle our horrible traffic to get into town for a maybe pay-out. I used to do well with consignment. I send thred-up really good stuff. I'm filling another bag right now - good brands. They take almost all of my stuff (like 80%) but don't give me much for it.

TU took most of the stuff I sent them in my last ditch effort to clear stuff out of the house. They paid decent. Not as much as CM.
But here's the thing.....and a reason I will NEVER EVER EVER buy from them.
Half the stuff I sent them had some type of flaw that I wouldn't sell and CM wouldn't take. But they have them listed without flaws. Their QC is horrible!
I have two things on consignment. One is an Armani dress. There is nothing wrong with it, but the arm holes were super tiny and I didn't want to deal with the headache of trying to explain this in a listing and having a mad customer. They have it listed and it has been unavailable since it went live. I can't even adjust the $170+ price they have it listed at.
I just sent them an ASQ as to why they allow items to sit in carts for so long...unavailable. What measures do they have in place to prevent other sellers from placing items into their cart so that customers can only purchase their items.
I doubt I'll get a response back.
