I got that email today. I had to do a double take. I haven't been very active over there since sales were so slow. I may just pull all of my listings (all 8 of them, lol!).

I have almost 200 listings. Most of my business is over there. Crap.

Can you factor in the increase in your prices? It sucks, I know. 9% to almost 15% is quite a jump.

I am going to have to factor it in. It pisses me off they do it on December 1st. Really???

I have very little listed over there. I was thinking about beefing it up over there, but now may reconsider. UGH.

I just saw the email-of course, factoring in the increase is difficult there. They have their "suggested market price" and it tends to be on the low side. Which of course brings about lots of low ballers.
Thats a huge, 1x jump in commission-generally a substantial increase is done in 6-12 month increments. And factor in their new minimum four day fund hold, plus the time it takes for them to initiate a money transfer; that's a pretty hefty float.

Oh no.... this really really sucks. I could factor in, but revising nearly 500 listngs is no fun.

The only advantage they have is the return policy. I really like not dealing with that. I've got about 900 listings there and most of them were screwed up on import, so it's a lot of revising to do. If they change the return policy, I'm done.

I have almost 600 listings there and I've been concerned that they seem to be joining the race to the bottom in prices based on some of their suggested prices too. I'm with chic, if they change their return policy to get me into that hassle, it won't be worth it to stay there. But they seem to not want the smaller sellers anymore. I'm sure their mega-folks are not paying that high a premium. And that's why they want you to sell a St. John piece for $28.

Just got this email from Tradesy. (I didn't even know I was in the Tradesy for Business program!):
Thank you so much for being a valued part of the Tradesy for Business program! We’re writing to tell you about some upcoming changes.
Effective November 15th, 2016, all Tradesy for Business members will be allotted 21 days per quarter to run Seller Sales. This can be in a 21-day sequence or scheduled as you choose over the 3-month period*. This 21-day policy does not include Promoted Seller Sales organized by Tradesy.
Moving forward, you must request a Seller Sale at least one business day prior to the start of the sale. In order to request a Seller Sale, please email your Account Manager with the following:
Inventory included Discount percentage Start and end dates Please be advised, Account Managers are available Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm PST. Additionally, Tradesy’s commission rate is increasing. This will not affect you as a loyal Tradesy for Business member.
Best,
Tradesy for Business Team

A bit presumtuous on their part. And only 2 weeks notice? And right in the middle of holiday selling?
I was thinking of listing there again, but not now.

So I got the email. It didnt say anything about me being a business seller, which I thought I was. Hmm......
I am headed over to raise my prices by 5% and list some vintage on Etsy.

I never did get an email about pricing increases, just about running sales (see #12 above). I don't even know what an account manager is there.

I got the e-mail today, I have around 350 things listed there but I don't think I'm in their business program. Not sure if I'll bother listing anything new or not now.

I just got the price increase letter today (Thursday). I used to be a business seller but was kicked off for not selling enough.

I assume (perhaps incorrectly) that their "big" sellers do not have a four day hold after customer receipt. And I'm sure they have a different commission schedule.
I just sold another item there yesterday and glad it was before the commission hike.
I didn't mind the high rate at Shop-Hers bc they vetted everything and removed the possibility of buyer fraud. So now Tradesy is effectively at the same rate-with no seller protection.

I'd just raise prices to cover the extra fees. When I *do* sell something over there, I always get more than I do on eBay, and it's really not much trouble to double list as it's just c/p. My difficulty is having enough of the right brands.

My difficulty is having enough of the right brands. And that's not a bad idea I suppose. I think I get very little sales over there because I barely have anything listed. I'm just afraid I won't be able to keep up with the double listings. Or I'll forget. Or something. I also wish there was an import tool

Aaaaand I just sold something over there! I think it's been about 6 months since I sold something on Tradesy. Took a 'best offer'. The offer wasn't too bad, and for now, the fees are still 9%. And after removing an item I sold on eBay last week, I think 'my closet' has 6 items in it, lol!

Things are dead there for me and with so many pieces, I can't go through them all and raise prices to cover the increase in fees. So, okay.
