www.thredup.com/bags/1291237I sent them nearly 40 items and they only accepted 10 I think. I did however take my stuff to Clothes Mentor first and they picked out the good stuff. My thredup bag was just a bunch of turds so what do I expect? LOL. I was definitely happier with my CM payout.

It's out of your house and off your list, so I'd take that as a win.

Anything that gets out of here is a bonus, but they really didn't take much, did they?! The closest Clothes Mentor here is 1000 miles away lol. We have Buffalo Exchange which is incredibly picky - they take only stuff I'd be able to sell myself, anyway. Consignments are like that, too.

Did you get charged the $6.99 fee to donate what they didn't take? I know that is starting I just cannot figure out how to know ahead of time whether it is going to be charged. I don't want to send another bag in and then have to either pay to have it returned or pay for them to donate. I haven't been happy with the last 4 payouts 40 to 45 items and received $23 give or take for each one. At least it is out of here but I really don't want to pay them anything on top of the low payout.

This was a bag I had ordered a long time ago so maybe not. I just ordered another bag last week and I remember it saying something about being charged a fee that I don't remember seeing previously. So they are charging us a resale fee plus they get to sell our items to a 3rd party and make more money? What a nice deal for them! I should probably quit sending them stuff. I found a consignment store in my area that takes literally anything and any brand so I may try them next time. I was really happy with CM but they are very picky.

I suspect people were abusing the system and just dumping in anything they could find on thrift store tag sales, yard sales and the like and sending it in. They probably got inundated with junk. Now they have to charge. I'm not in the least surprised - it may deter the abuse. It takes more than $6.50 of my time to tote that stuff to the thrift to redonate, so they can do it instead.
