I'd like to start off by saying if this topic is in the wrong section, please feel free to move, mods. I've been dealing with REALLY slow sales for some time, and am starting to wonder if I'm doing something wrong. If anyone has time, would you mind looking at my store to see if there are any glaring problems? As much as I'm afraid of the answers I'm going to get, something is definitely wrong and I'm at a loss. I do realize most of my items are not high end, but I sell what I have access to. Any thoughts would be appreciated. My ebay id is "fashion*eclectica10" and store name is Fashion Eclectica. Thanks so much, I appreciate it! Marcy

I also posted this question on Kevin's board, I hope that's not spamming - that's not my intent at all.

Hi!
Hey, we can only sell what we can get our hands on, right? I've moved states about every 2 years or so and have had to make adjustments to what I offer for sale, so I totally get it.
I looked at your store. Looks Great. Listings are great. Pictures are great.
I think you're just one that may be stuck in that eBay rut right now.
Are you doing any forms of social media to get extra exposure to your store? (Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter)
I am going to start a Twitter thread hopefully tonight. If you're not already tweeting, look into it.

Marcy! Hi, so glad you made it here. It's not spamming' because it a different board.
January isn't always a great sales month for many businesses including retail and restaurants. People tend to cut back on spending because they spent more than usual for the holidays. I agree with ShoppingAddiction about social media. Give Twitter and the others a try.
Your items are presented well, priced well, your feedback is good and you have a lot listed. Things should be selling. I believe in the rolling servers theory and your switch might be off right now. I say this because I have seen dry spells where I get very few to no sales for a few days and the key thing "no hits". Of course, if no one can see it no one can buy it. Your items may not be placed in the ones they selectively show the buyer. Once they do show up you may find yourself with a burst of sales, several from one state, etc.

I appreciate the time you all took to look at my store! And thank you for all the kind comments. I'm just frustrated right now and was wondering if I was overlooking some glaring problems with my listings. Liz, I remember you saying that you move around often and that at one point you sold mainly Quacker Factory and the like (if I'm not mistaken). I'm in Ann Taylor/Talbots land and that's just what I have to work with. I think I'm going to make some road trips to the Phila area, perhaps I can find better brands there. Again, thanks everyone

I looked at your store too and can't find a single criticism. You have great items, clear pics, and good prices. I think your titles are fine. You and I have about the same size store, and my sales are right with you, 2 or 3 a day. I almost posted for a store critique myself last night, and would appreciate feedback on mine as well. If you don't mind the hijack

Hi Delta, While I wish sales would be a little better (who doesn't, lol), I'm glad to hear our sales are about the same. CleanNYC is right, I think people are shopping less because the holiday bills are rolling in right about now.
I'm taking pics right now, but I will take a look at your store in a bit. BTW, the little boy in your avatar is a cutie pie!

Sorry, Delta, for not getting back to you sooner, things have been crazy at my house lately. Anyway, I think you have a BEAUTIFUL store, I love it! Great pics and I especially like the section explaining how you measure your items. I might make a chart describing how I measure, as I've had one customer tell me my measurements were off - but she wasn't doing it the same way I did. Anyway, your store is really nice. Now did you say you have 3-4 sales a day? That's been my experience, too, which is frustrating since I have so much listed. I know, though, that things will pick up. Just have to wait it out and keep listing. Marcy
