I just got my Fitbit Charge HR this week. I've worn it for 3 nights
I'm getting used to sleeping in it, tho the first night I yanked it off my arm because it was uncomfortable.
I love that it tracks my sleep. I didn't realize how restless I am! I wake up in the middle up the night for at least 3 minutes. And every night I have been "restless" between 11 and 20 times. Constant heart rate monitoring. Constant pedometer readings. Vibrating alarm clock. Caller ID--Which has been awesome. It vibrates when I get a call and the name (if saved on my phone) or number pops up on my wrist. I know who's calling before I have to dig around in my purse for my phone.
Maybe once I get the hang of it--I'll start recording my calorie/water/workouts.
Anyone else have and use a fitbit?

I'm interested in answers too. I've been looking at buying the same one.

Oh, and it also records the flights of stairs I've climbed and how many calories I've burned (based on height and weight). It also tells me when my heart rate is in the "fat burn zone".
Honestly, I really like it so far. If anything, it's an interesting gadget. However, I do have to say it's a little bigger than I like. I got the black one. Now, I'm waiting on Trina Turk to come out with bling for this one like she did the others.

I have the Fitbit Flex and just started wearing it this week. I am amazed at how restless I am at night! I have as many as 12 small restless spells of a minute long each night!

I had the Fitbit Force (wristband that was recalled because some people had a skin reaction to the plastic - I never did). It was a great little motivator to keep me moving throughout the day. I tried to use the sleep tracking at first but lost interest quickly - I'd forget to enter the times I went to bed and got up, and I know I'm a restless sleeper, I don't need a gadget to tell me that! I have the Fitbit Charge wristband now. It's essentially the same thing, plus it has Caller ID. Which would be cool if I got calls from more people than just DH and my mother I'm lazy by nature, so it really helps me to see those numbers adding up -- or not -- every day.

One funny thing: I noticed my step count was really high the first few times I went thrifting. I thought maybe I'd walked a lot around the stores, but nope - it was counting all that flipping through racks of clothing as steps! So you might want to take it off when you're at the TS.

Yeah. It's all relative.
The thing that counts is the action. Flipping thru those racks are close to steps. You're using the energy and burning calories. So it's counting them.

I'm really close to buying one. My husband's work has this vitality thing that you can earn points and reduce the cost of your insurance premium. Right now we mainly log walking via an iphone app, but it is gps based and doesn't work for treadmill walking. Also with the HR monitor, any work out that lasts for 20 minutes in the right HR rate counts. If I get it and really put my mind to it, I can probably workout enough to earn enough points to pay for it!

I bought FB Flex at Kohls about 6 weeks ago, it was easy to set up and very user friendly. I wore it for a few weeks but didn't really attempt any extra walking or excise so I took off one day and haven't put it back on. I'll get back to it soon though, I liked the days that I reached the 10k step goal (that usually only happened on my shopping for inventory days) and the sleep tracking was neat too. I love that you can connect with other FB users and have challenges, etc. It's really a cool little thing.

Ahrn--you said you had to set it when you went to sleep? Is that just the older model?

I just meant I was supposed to log what time I went to bed and got up, but I wasn't very good about doing that. I also didn't log my meals.

That's the one thing I don't like about my flex, you have to tap it so many times to put in sleep mode and stop sleep mode and blinks so many times for a few other different modes too. I like the one with the display but didn't care too much for the larger size. All in all I'm happy with it though. The main reason for getting it was tracking my steps, that can easily be checked on the app along with how many active minutes I've had throughout the day.

OK. I know the Charge and Charge HR automatically record your sleep. And I agree while I love the display, I'm not too keen on the larger size. That's why I hope one of the fashion designers comes up with pretty accessories quickly I have yet to record my food and water intake. Or take on any "friends" for challenges. Maybe I'll ease into it gradually.

You can set the alarm on the fitbit app. I'm sure you can do it on your computer too, but I haven't tried.
