I searched on Quickbooks to see what I could find out here, and on a thread a while back you said you use multiple versions of Quickbooks. A friend has asked me to help her with her daughter's bookkeeping for her on-line business. She wants to put it on Quickbooks, but she is already using Quickbooks on her computer for another business, and she is concerned one will somehow affect the other. (She had a problem with Quicken previously because she was trying to do the bookkeeping for two businesses, and it kept getting messed up.). Do you ever have s problem with more than one business--any tips to prevent problems?

I'm not as experienced as Val, but I use quickbooks for our corporation and our non-profit. No issues since they have different log-ins and passwords. We bought two separate licenses with multiple seats. We are just super careful when backing up that we don't overwrite onto the wrong file and thumbdrive.

Thanks, Kat!
Realized I had said questions in the subject cause I had another question but then forgot to ask It. Duh.
Getting info from PayPal to Quickbooks, do you use a CSV download from PayPal or something else?
Thanks!

She just needs to set up a new company file for the second company. She can only log into one company at a time, so it shouldn't be an issue. I do suggest changing the view colors in the company files, helps you keep them straight.
Seems like there is an export to QB option on Paypal, it will create an IIF file.
