My old-man-kitty Mr. Ma has passed. I fed him his favorite treats when he woke me at 4AM and we had a nice cuddle. I didn't think anything of it when he didn't come to greet me when I put out fresh food and water this morning because he often slept through this morning ritual since he prowls all night. I keep telling myself he was so old and tired and had been failing for a while that its better. But oh I'm going to miss him.

I bet Mr. Ma had a great life with you. I am so glad that he came to say goodbye this morning so you have that great memory.
Mr Ma will be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge so you can cross together. Until then he is running and playing with all my cats that are waiting for me.

He was a good old cat who never lost his inner kitten ways, right up to the end. I will miss having a lap warmer with a huge raspy purr. He is the last pet we'll have because of allergy issues.

Awww...Mr Ma went on his way with his belly full of treats and a last cuddle with his human - that's a good, peaceful way to go, but I'm so sorry for your loss. They really have a place in our hearts.

My DD rented a home and found him in the basement. The previous renter had left him there when he moved almost a month prior. He was so weak but purring like crazy and saying ma, ma, ma. Thank goodness for field mice and a leaky pipe. He came to live with me because her husband was allergic. That was 12 years ago. |

I rounded up all his toys and bedding and gave everything a good wash. Took them a friend who rescues and made a commitment to keep her stocked in kitty supplies in honor of Mr. Ma. I did have an ulterior motive. When I drop off supplies I get to cuddle with the kitties. 💕 Thanks again all. Your kind thoughts help.

I'm so so sorry. Sounds like he had a happy life with you. I lost my 21 year old kitty a couple of months ago, so I know how you feel. I still can't talk about him without choking up.

I loved your story of how Mr. Ma got his name. Sounds like the perfect name for him & I'll bet he liked it too.
It was very loving of you to clean & donate his things & then want to memorialize your friend with more donations later. What a sweet thing to do! I hope all your future visits there bring you much joy.

I had a cat once that used to just say "ma". It's soooo cute.
