Got a box that weighs 17 lbs with measurements of 22" x 13" x 11" going to zone 5. If I look at click'n ship's rate and put in the measurements, it comes up 3 day priority and a retail cost of $39.60.
If I put it into stamps.com's program with measurements/zipcodes, it comes up with 3 day priority for $19.60.
Less than half the price? I can't help but think I must have done something wrong but if I did, I'm seeing it as well as issey miyake.
The 'large package' definition is length + 2x width + 2x height and that equals 70" which is less than the 84 which is the maximum for a regular package. Large package starts at 84" and oversized starts at 108" IIRC
Does anyone have a way to check using ebay's postage calculator to see what they get for the package? I tried setting up a fake listing but it doesn't give postage cost examples for me.

Does Stamps.com give you some type of commercial rate shipping discount? What zone are you shipping from?
Have you tried eBay shipping for comparison? I just did a "fake" shipping label using your measurements and weight and came up with something like $39. Then I tried it to another zip code and it came up $19.19.
Maybe double check the zip codes on both?

Thank you! Just found this online - www.stamps.com/whitepapers/priority-mail-rate-guide.pdfit says 17 lbs going to zone 5 is $19.78 priority. I double checked the zone stuff in 2 browsers and 2 operating systems. Checked zip codes. Checked measurements. I have no idea how to do anything with ebay labels. I haven't shipped using them in maybe a year and then only a couple over the prior 4-5 years maybe. I tried creating a dummy listing but it doesn't give me any prices. Maybe it was the old form that used to show the comparison but not this one. AHA! Ok, I did a dummy using the 'calculate postage' in 'my ebay' for one of the few items I still have listed and then put in the dimensions/zip code/weight and get the same thing as stamps.com WHEW!

Don't forget - You can always ship with the paypal "ship now" link for packages not sold on ebay. It comes out a lot cheaper than click n'ship that is no longer offering the commercial discount. I think stamps .com is the same as paypal "ship now".
I ship a lot of packages to my sister in Virginia and was shocked when I went to use click n'ship after they discontinued the commercial rate earlier this year. What a difference for sure.

Little late but if you ever need a good shipping calculator: www.flippertools.com/fitShipper/fitShipper.html It will show you retail, ebay/stamps.com/etsy, or ebay TRS price depending on which discount rate you choose.

Yep, stamp.com/paypal/ebay (non-TRS) are all at the commercial base rate.
