I don't know if anyone else posted this, and I'm not sure if my link will work: www.recode.net/2016/5/9/11641670/tradesy-funding-30-million-series-cTradesy recently raised another 30m in funding-this is probably why there's been an abrupt change in their hold policy (3 days for some items to 4 days for all sold). I also think they need to amend their return policy for them to move forward to a probable IPO.They need to have content customers; those buyers probably do not want a site credit for expensive returned goods. I don't know what they 'll do to satisfy their buyers but I wouldn't be surprised if there are more changes coming in the near future. Sue

It's going to be interesting! I've sold two items there this week and I'm not happy at all waiting for my money. I've not had anyone claim IND yet that I'm aware of, but I'll probably pull my listings if I get burned. I can't afford that on TWO sites!

I had about 10 items up for sale there. In the last couple months, I've sold two. I read about the hold, and then some of the returns and whatnot--so I pulled my stuff from their site.
I really wanted to be able to sell there also, but I just won't until they get their crap all settled out.

I think this paragraph is important for the future.
Tradesy remains focused on clothing, shoes and bags, DiNunzio noted, while The RealReal has looked for growth by expanding into jewelry and art and Poshmark has started to allow its best sellers to buy clothing from wholesalers at a discount and resell it on the site. Tradesy still gets a good amount of sales from unpaid search traffic, because it has structured listings on its marketplace in a way that makes it easy for search engines to crawl.

I have stuff listed there and on Ebay. I normally get about 1 sale a month. I got 2 this WEEK. But like Chic said, I'm not too crazy about waiting so long for my money. And if I get any back for NAD (or whatever they call it) I may pull my listings there too.
I don't like their search, I can never find what I'm looking for.

In May I sold 15 things there, but that hit a brick wall in June when they somehow double imported my listings and gave them free shipping. It took a month to get it corrected so I lost Pro seller status in July. I wrote a nasty note to them, but they wouldn't acknowledge they were the ones that screwed up. I started to flounce off but decided not to cut my nose off to spite my face. I've not listed anything else but until I get a NAD, I'm going to leave what's there alone.

My sales there slowed down since the new changes rolled in. I refused to get "verified" and I think this impacts my placement in search results. But of course, this might be a coincidence.

I call BS on this statement. Tradesy is paying for a large amount of click advertising. I see their ads on weather.com, newssites, in my yahoo email, and even here on proboards. That's paid advertising, not organic search results.

If you're worried about giving them your SSN, just get an EIN. Will take you less than a minute on the IRS website and it can be used in lieu of SSN for business sites. Actually better than using your SSN. You can also add it to your PP and other credit card processor accounts.

DOH! I thought I had pulled all of my items from there. NOPE--just got an asq from there. Looks like I only deleted one item.
Oh well, hope my response leads to a sale either way.
