-It has NO identifiers -#1092 is 12.125 x 2.75 x 13.375 -Can I use this as a "regional Box A2"? -I clicked "Regional Box A" on 'create shipping label' ... Measurements given were "11 1/16 x 2 1/2 x 13 1/16 inches" - YET..... when I go to the PO site, it cites - "Regional Rate Box A2 is 10-15/16" x 2-3/8" x 12-13/16" which does NOT match the measurements given on 'Create shipping label' ...... Is it OK to mail an item with Regional A2 rates in a #1092 box? Thanks to all!

The regional boxes are marked Regional Box A or B. If it's a priority box with no further designation (regional, flat, etc), it just goes as priority weight/zone based.

What Jeremy said.
Regional Rate Boxes will be clearly marked as Regional Rates. Just a fun fact: Both A and B each come in 2 different sizes. As does the Large Flat Rate boxes (Game Board LFRs are AWESOME).

I measured the cft of both shapes on the LFRBs and they're basically the same except you can shove so much more in the game boxes because of the long sides.

OK, let me clarify: They come in two different shapes, not sizes.

Don't try to use any box that is not marked Regional Rate with a Regional Rate shipping label.
Way back I used a flat rate box for Regular Priority and the item was retuned to me. I had covered the Flat Rate marked section with the USPS colored tape. Boxes were almost the exact same size, the square 8 x 8 box.
Somewhere along the way you might get someone who will notice it, mark it incorrect use, and then return to sender.

The Regional Rate A is slightly shorter than the reg Pr. I found that when I tried to ship leather portfolios.
