Just got this:
Thank you for being a valued Tradesy Seller! We’ve made two important updates on Tradesy that you should know about:
1. International Buying expansion
What: Shoppers outside of the U.S. can now buy on Tradesy! There’s no extra cost or steps for you to sell and ship to international buyers. When you make a sale outside of the U.S., you’ll ship to our domestic distribution center, and we’ll forward the package to your buyer from there.
Why: Your audience of Tradesy buyers just got bigger! Reaching international shoppers means you can sell more on Tradesy than ever before.
2. Held Funds policy update
What: For sales that occur from today forward, all seller earnings will be held in our system for up to 4 days (96 hours) after your sold item is delivered to the buyer. During that holding period, your funds will appear as “Pending Earnings” in your account. As always, once your earnings become available, you can use them to shop on Tradesy, or withdraw to a bank account, credit card, or PayPal.
Why: This brief holding period helps Tradesy to ensure the security and authenticity of every purchase, which increases buyer trust and sales.
3. Verified Seller badge removal
What: Your Verified Seller badge will continue to be visible to you from within your account, but will no longer appear on the site where buyers can see it.
Why: We have no evidence that the Verified Seller badge increases your sales on Tradesy, and have received feedback that some buyers find it confusing.
Thank you for taking the time to read this update. As always, we’re here to answer your questions anytime.
Team Tradesy
I was wondering why the funds for a Lilly P dress I shipped yesterday were being held!

Well, this is just great. It only goes downhill for sellers from here. Coming up next! Feedback! Buyer protection! Mandatory returns to the seller for any reason with free shipping both ways within 180 days! Got a "hotdog pink" item instead of "pink"? Open a case, screw up the seller!

And there is a bonus! If you are like me and is an "unverified" seller, hold on funds extends from 4 days to 21 days! Yay.
And to get yourself verified you have to provide SSN number and also a copy of your ID.

I take it that that is in addition to the time it takes to get there, up tp 5 days for First Class, right?!?

Does Tradesy act as their own payment processor, or do the 1099-Ks for sales there come from PayPal?

I just shipped a Tradesy order yesterday and the funds were released as soon as tracking updated. Was this in your Tradesy messages or your e-mail? I haven't seen this yet.

Tradesy is their own payment processor Val.
I cant believe the 21 day hold on non verified sellers! I am finding that recently anything less than $40 was being released immediately but anything over that was being held. I am sure that is going to change.
They are going to push non-verified sellers off the sit with this hold thing.
Strange on a international shipment re-route though. I am guessing they are trying to make money like eBay is doing with GSP.
Lets look at the bright side. 1) at least they realized quickly that having a badge showing on a sellers page is not needed and 2) at least they communicated with us.
I had such high hopes for Tradesy.

Val-def getting in place for growth and/or IPO-they're also emulating other internet site policies.
Mup-Selling price had not been an issue (it's been selling category) but perhaps now it is-I sold a Lululemon top for approx $24 and there was a hold for verification; I was shocked bc of the dollar amount A few weeks later I sold a ruby/14K pendant for $260 and funds were released immediately; there was no hold and as soon as the USPS info updated funds were released; I was shocked. A couple of weeks later I sold an LV bag-I expected the hold on funds and they were released 3/4 days after delivery.
they had been placing holds on "potentially" fraudulent items (apparently regardless of price point-more with regard to brand) but now they apparently are addressing any potential problem-ebay reincarnate. But the 21 days is new. Gives them more float money too and I'm sure they've studied other modules to determine what might work.

It will just be a matter of time before they change their refund and feedback policy. I do not get many sales there, so I will probably not list as much on the site.

From what you posted, Sue, it sounds like they may be placing holds on items in categories with the highest % of returns, regardless of reason.

That was their prior policy but I sold two over the weekend and now received a message that they are indeed holding payment four days after delivery(I never received the policy update). It used to be three days. Now, I'm not in such a hurry to ship either-I liked getting my $$ immediately after tracking updated.

I just sold something there and got the hold, but never got a notice about the policy change either through e-mail or messages.
