Yikes. It sounds like it might be worse on Amazon. At least here, if you know what to look for, you can figure out the majority of the chinese listings.
But then, I really dislike Amazon as a customer.

I don't use Amazon unless I absolutely HAVE to, but DD uses it a lot.

I use Amazon but stick to the verifiable small sellers. I've been doing business with Amazon since the very beginning in about 1994, when they were just a small outfit down the hill and ol' weird Bezos still had coffee in the local coffee shops. Usually I've been fine with them, but their Chinese dumping scheme has driven away most of my business.

I use Amazon too but really check out the sellers. Some of the things that I recently purchased were from sellers that I found on Amazon but bought from their store webpage.
Never have had an issue with anything that I bought from there.

Hiring and training more workers and reducing turnover would make a huge improvement in Amazon-seller relations and actually result in MORE compliance by sellers. Plus, sellers would be selling again quicker, which means more sales volume for everyone.
Marvelous example of the new corporate thinking - the inability to understand the value-added concept of good CS and education. They just see it as overhead cutting into their profit hoarding and are too short-sighted to understand that it's actually investment. Policy enforcement changes without warning: Used media sellers are getting inauthentic complaints for pre-1972 books, old CDs, etc., that were bought at book sales, estate sales and other venues which have no invoices. This new enforcement is a huge change in policy that will affect the availability of used and collectible merchandise on the platform. I've had clients suspended for this. Another senseless change that has gone directly against what Amazon used to be actually known for, and how it started - as a place to find discontinued/used/old media. This market may move back to eBay out of necessity.

Wouldn't surprise me at all....and it wouldn't surprise me if Wenig capitalized on it, either. He seems a heck of a lot sharper than Meg or Donohoe.

Pretty shocking story. I had heard about the fake reviews and take most reviews with a grain of salt. But counterfeits? Oy! l stick with brand named stuff, especially kitchen ware, when shopping on Amazon. Sometimes I get stung with cheap junk.
