Happier post - with dog & cat pics :)

My last two posts have been sad - so thought it was time for a cheerful one!

This is Buddy - we have have been fostering him since the weekend.  He's been living in the kennel at the vet clinic my daughter works at for the past two months & needs a home.  They took him in from a bad situation.  He's a cute little good-natured guy.





And... I always talk about my dogs - but I do have kitties too!  This is to prove it - not a great pic, but the only one I have of all three of them together.

And the cats, LOL. They are like "pictures...whatever..."

Buddy is slowly learning...  He's been alone a lot & possibly abused.  I got the flyswatter to get a bug that had come in the back door & when he saw it - he ran & hid    - I mean like ran for his life!  He also doesn't like loud noises.

That is the cats EXACTLY - mine are not showoffs, lol.  They are lazy royalty who just wait for the peasants (us) to feed them.

That is so sad about Buddy. I can't imagine abusing an animal (well, anything for that matter). I sure hope that he can understand that not all of us humans are like that and some of us actually cherish their companionship.

Aww he is just adorable and looks so happy in that pic! But now this thread is sad also lol. I hate hearing about mistreatment of animals and how could anyone mistreat that little guy???

Ughhh - sorry about that!  But since I have rescue animals, they pretty much all come with a sad story    No to sad though!  I've had enough of that the past week. 

I'm glad that we are in a position to take him & finally give him a break from the kennel.  We couldn't do it while my other dog was sick.  While he is technically placed with a rescue, he may just end up sticking around   Someone did take the time to house train him - so that's nice!

Awww, Buddy is so cute. And housetrained. I'm surprised someone didn't snap him up. Maybe he was meant to be yours :-)

He's still here, so I think he's going to "stick" .

He's fitting in nicely & gets along with everyone. Probably not a dog/breed I would have gravitated toward naturally - I've never had a beagle/beagle blend before. He's a stubborn little bugger (combo breed temperament I've heard & lack of training) but also friendly & sweet-natured.

We've discussed changing his name (none of us really care for Buddy) but no one can agree on a different one - so he may be destined to remain "Buddy" forever. Haven't got the tag yet so hmmmm... I could just go have one made & put on it what I want  .  Though that may be stupid if everyone else still calls him Buddy .
