Sigh. Weather report: -21 again. We had a high of -2 today. I am really over this winter.

Wait. This is coming from the woman who bundled up and RAN in arctic temperatures just so she could get a night at the casino?

Amen, sister!
Enough is freakin' enough. I don't mind this below zero stuff every once in awhile, but February has been ridiculous.

I just can't imagine the temps up there to the north.
Yes, spring will be coming. It is in south Texas right now.

Move out where me and Kritter are. Actually, that would make it easier for the two of you to do your Meow Box biz, too.

Here, if it's a good winter, you can take the tram to the peak, ski down the east side in the morning, then go play golf in town (which is on the west side of the mountain). In a 'bad' winter (aka warm), you have to go to santa fe or taos to ski and won't get home in time to golf.

I'd oblige you and shoot you but it's probably too cold for gunpowder to ignite.

OMG! And I was fretting because it is supposed to feel like it is -15 this morning but that is with the wind chill. Actual temp is like 2 degrees.
We have a 2 hour school delay because it is so cold.

We were -21 when I got up. I guess I shouldn't complain. They just said on the Today show that Vanderbilt Mi. was -40 this morning. That is only about 35 miles from me. We are supposed to get up I to the teens today. I guess I will wait a couple of hours before making my post office run. And Val - I will do a lot of stupid stuff in order to get a night out ?

Schools were closed all over Central and Northern Michigan. I don't get that. They have furnaces for cripes sake! I can see giving the kids that walk to school an excused absence, but the rest need to get their butt on the bus!

Heaters on the buses don't do much, and too many kids get would get sent to school not dressed properly. I'm always glad when they take the conservative approach. I know in my sister's school district in northern Ohio, kids can be on the bus for over an hour so I'm guessing it's that way in northern Michigan too. Of course in her district, some of their homes aren't any better than drafty buses so maybe they would be better off in school.

And I would imagine a lot of mechanical issues would crop up with some of the buses in that cold a temperature, making an already bad situation even worse.

I can see giving the kids that walk to school an excused absence, but the rest need to get their butt on the bus! We had below 0 temps about 2 winters ago, and the school districts couldn't get the buses started so school was delayed a few hours. Could that be the issue there? I know areas who get those really low temps are equipped with battery heaters, but you guys might not be.

-20 something here this morning, so glad my car started! Tomorrow should be about 30. Even with the snow, it'll feel like summer. Or mid to late spring. I'm getting antsy for spring. Even the bf who snow plows in the winter is over it, lol. He's ready for lawn mowing season.

So over it I want to go to sleep and wake up in the Spring! I guess I was a bear in my former life! I'm in Pa and it's freezing here, below zero wind chills. I just told my DH as soon as my youngest moves out ( he's 13 so not for a long time) we're outta here!
I heard for all of you in the West it is record heat?

I had on sandals and a Fresh Produce dress on today and I was overdressed at Walmart.
Don't those people have mirrors or a family member that could help them rethink their wardrobe choice?

A Walgreens by me received a huge batch of gorgeous flowering planters last year, and they were much cheaper than HD or Lowes. So I've been scoping out the front of the store in the mornings and saw some today. Went by on the way home, all excited.
It was cutwood bundled up. Dang it.
