Hi! Another CCL here. The cats currently outnumber me 7-1. Although I was born in Cleveland I have spent the last (almost) half century in SoCal. Still a buckeye at heart though. I left Ebay after the last round of changes and went to Shop-Hers and Tradesy. I am overly fond of high end bags and shoes.

Welcome from another rust belt native! I grew up in Pittsburgh, lived in San Francisco for 13 years then moved back. There's something special about this part of the world -- maybe all the deep roots (families that have been here for generations)?
It sure ain't the snow and ice.

I was only there for 9 years but apparently that was long enough for me to be genetically programmed to want to buy a coat every September (which is usually our hottest month) My boots are going to last me forever since I only get to wear them in Dec. I still harbor pleasant memories of snow----probably because I never had to drive in it.

Definitely check out the Critters section.

Hi everyone, I'm Marlo and I sell mostly on Craig's list. I'm not real tech savvy so I haven't sold much online. I don't post much, a little shy. I have been looking around here and it seems really nice. Off to read the rules and such.

Welcome, Marlo! We've had a few ask about selling on craigslist, so when you feel comfortable, maybe you can post some tips in that area. Meanwhile, browse around, post a bit, and get to know us!

Just jump right in and join us, Marlo.
I am not a big seller either but there are loads of other sections and threads to post on.
We not only share ideas on selling but have a lot of fun too.
But, watch out, because it does get addictive.

Yay! If you garden, you'll also be Shirley's newest BFF. Which can be handy since she knows the shortcuts on how to customize the avatar. Hers changes daily. And ahrn, she knows too, but she's running around nekked right now.

Will do. I have lots of tips on Craig's list. Great! I have always wanted to put some stuff on Craigs list but have beent kinda skeered. There are so many bad experience stories out there. Nobody ever puts the good stories out there or at least I never see them.

LOL! You can use the default avatar if you want, but be forewarned - the avatar maker is addicting.

Love gardening, we have a community garden, everyone had their own patch, lots of cool statues, gnomes and stuff, it's a couple acres.

Will do. I have lots of tips on Craig's list. Marlo... please enjoy your visits here. Prior to selling on eBay for the past year, I had numerous selling/buying experiences with Craigslist. What I found to be most frustrating though, is how the ads age and clutter the site because too many lazy people never delete them. The other gripe I have is those that never answer an inquiry when they're selling something. On the positive side, I don't have to settle for pennies-on-the-dollar selling stuff on eBay. My current Craigslist gripe is about licensed professionals who set an appt. time and then call at the last minute with flimsy excuses for canceling. I have dealt with 4 very unprofessional electricians over the past 2-weeks. And sadly, I have hired lots of good help over the years utilizing Craigslist. I guess I'll just renew my Angie's List membership...

I broke down a couple of months ago and renewed my Angie's List for 2 years when they had a Groupon special.
I don't use it that often but it was a good deal and I have it if I need it.

I got mine last year for $12...at that price, it was a bargain. But what chaps my hide is everytime I could've used it to our advantage, SO backed off and wouldn't commit to spending $ to save $$ on a few specials.

Just wanted to say "Hi" to all people that came after me (and before me, too, of course) CCL here, too, but also CDL (crazy dog lover) and CBL (crazy bird lover), I guess we have half a zoo in our house with the cat, the dogs, the bird. But, thankfully, they all get along very well.
Thanks all for the warm welcomes!

Those of you who use CL, did you ever try the Facebook local sites? I sold furniture on those, and love the fact that when they PM me with interest, that I can see who they really are....where they live, work, etc.
