Got a note from a buyer of a $6 picture frame that tracking shows delivered, but he didn't really get it.
So I replied with the usual yadda yadda about checking with PO, and possibly filing for theft.
I prefer to call the PO, and was able to talk to a super lady. It is a small town and she knew that my package was left on the front porch along with another package. She also explained that the buyer lives way off the main road and it is very unlikely that anyone would trek that far to the house to steal packges.
PO lady also said they have a longitudinal and lateral tracking to pinpoint exactly where the package was left.
PO lady will get back to me after she talks to the carrier. All of this over a $6 package...
I have talked to PO people in the past who hinted that the buyer has made several claims of theft of packages.
Love it.

That's great that you were able to talk to someone and get some information. No one ever answers the phone at our local post office. For a long time, their phone number was out of order and the person at the 800 number said that was okay.

My buyer said he still couldn't find the packages, so I called the PO lady back and we had a nice long conversation and I have a new friend. She sells on eBay...
She said this guy gets about 100 packages a month, so if he wants to continue to pull this crap, he will have to be making daily trips to the PO to pick up his packages.
BTW-he just gave me thumbs up feedback of sorts. So I guess my package fell out of the sky. Amazing.

I'm glad he found the package. Maybe he got the message that it's time to stop pulling that scam.

I wonder if all the carriers have GPS enabled scanners yet.

So sick of these scammers! I just had a delivery from Staples and I had to sign for it. Staples usually leaves the packages right at the door. Scammers make it harder for everyone.
