Gotta share this awesome shot of a bald eagle we saw while in Washington.  Probably a once in a lifetime shot, taken at the Discovery Bat timeshare. We were about 20 feet away- it was totally unconcerned at the group of us freaking out with phones & cameras. |

Jealous. Seeing one in the wild is a major bucket list item for me. We see them often here where I live but I'd never see one up close; they're always soaring or sitting in treetops near the river. Most of our cell phone towers have osprey nests at the top, which are pretty awesome too. |

There have been reported sightings all around us, so I hold out hope. I see blue herons a lot - those are pretty cool too, especially when they fly.
