I dropped 4 return packages off at the PO, and requested a receipt for acceptance (I did not generate the original labels). That was on 5/20 and 5/21. When I go look up the label #, there is no information whatsoever at the USPS website. If I take the receipts to the counter, will they be able to look up the #s and tell me where the packages are?

They can do that because they have an internal system.
What I do is go to the USPS website and ask for tracking emails on the packages to be emailed to me. That usually jars the info loose.

A few months ago, USPS did me a 'favor' and upgraded my account. I now get multiple (and I mean sometimes as many as 4-5) notifications every time something with tracking is shipped to me every time it updates. Nice features, but again, I get like 4-5 of the same damn notification...

Val, if you used the pre-printed return labels that come with some catalog orders, they are often connected to UPS or Fed Ex delivered by the Post Office, and the tracking is in the Fed Ex or UPS lookup area.

Ah, good point. I'll try looking up at Fed Ex, since these companies use FEd Ex Smartpost. Thanks!
