This is the email I got from Tradesy regarding the shoes that were returned. I am contacting you regarding your recent sale -Salvatore Ferragamo Ferragamo Satin Black Pumps (11351575). The item was returned and after a thorough inspection here at Tradesy, we determined that the listing wasn't accurate enough to give the buyer the full picture of the item's condition, and therefore a full refund was issued to them and the earnings were pulled from the sale per our Refund Policy. The shoes have a metallic marker and pen marks on the bottom of the right shoe. When you receive it back, please list your item with as much detail as possible. Additionally, we encourage you to make use of all 12 images available to show any areas of concern. This not only lets buyers know exactly what they are getting, but it also protects you as a seller - if there is full disclosure of the item's condition up front, we won't pull your funds. Here is the listing. Notice the photo of the sole of the shoe? www.tradesy.com/shoes/salvatore-ferragamo-satin-two-tone-red-black-pumps-11351575/

The shoe on its side - left or right shoe? Tradesy specifically mentioned right shoe and pen marks.

The shoe shown is the left shoe. However it also has pen marks. But the buyer didnt want it because right shoe had pen marks. It is ok for one shoe to have pen marks but not the other?

The shoes didn't fit and the pen marks are what the buyer and Tradesy are using as an excuse to return.
Tradesy is going to start backing up their buyers because they like buyers better than sellers.

All I see are the handwritten SKU numbers on that shoe which is normal for ferragamo, but no metallic marker. Metallic markers are used for prices - is that what the buyer was seeing?

IIRC the metallic marker was the same number as what is on the black.
Doesnt matter as I will take them and relist them. I just thought it was the most ridiculous reason for a return. I think it is more likely they didnt fit her.

She must be a current or former eBay buyer... (and sorry she found you!)

It isnt that big deal to me as I am out very little and Tradesy is paying to return them to me. I have heard other Tradesy sellers starting to complain that the Ebay buyers have made treir way there. LOL

My bet is the buyer did what I did - realized you only showed one sole, the left, and thought, "Hey! Guess what? The marks on the right sole too but seller didn't show it, or specifically mention it. Woo hoo, there's my out for a cash refund. Yeah baby!" When you relist, show the soles of BOTH shoes. That way, you leave no ammo for the next buyer to use. Tradesy was pretty stupid to think buyers would be happy with 'store' credit on returns, forever and ever. Dumb idea on Tradesy's part.

I am guessing we will be seeing some changes to the returns process soon.

Should we start a betting pool? Could be fun.

You state "exterior scuffs or marks" in the condition so my Judge Judy says "Not guilty. No return! Case closed!" Writing on the sole is a mark, no?
Yes, I think they will be changing their return policy which makes me sad as I'm "no returns" all the way and I loved that they would absorb that for me. Now that the gotcha-legal-eagles from eBay have infested Tradesy, that's the end. Sigh...
