Last batch I got at Staples with a sale and 25% in rewards. Have been watching for a deal from them for 6 weeks or so with no luck. Suggestions for good price & quality?

The rolls my dollar store has are tiny. Triple the size at Big Lots. But i get the refill rolls, since I already have the red cutter thingie. My dollar trees don't carry the refills

I get the $0.79 rolls...okay, I don't. I just wanted to beat the lowest price.

I've used all of the above. Now I buy the 4 pack of Duck brand tape at Walmart. It is a double roll and about 2.00 a roll.

I buy the cheap Wal-Mart tape also and always have. One day they were out and I bought the expensive kind. I hated it. It seemed so thick and was hard to work with and didn't seem to stick as well as the cheap stuff.

Watch U-Line for their sale on the S-200 rolls. I got maybe 24 rolls for a little over $1 each. Much better quality than the dollar store kind.

I've gotten at least 3 different kinds of tapes at the 99 cent store including scotch 3350. Ya gotta pay attention. One of 'em was total trash, just shred as you'd try to use it but the rest have been great, except the scotch; I don't like it - too thick for me.

I like the 4-pk DUCK tape from Walmart. I bought a desk top tape dispenser - best purchase I ever made. I love the thing. Saves so much time & energy over the little hand-held dispensers that come with the tape.

I have a tape gun and a desk top dispenser. Don't know how people can stand using those little dispensers that come with some tape.

I have the BEST post office people when it comes to tape. They keep me supplied with rolls of priority mail tape. I don't use regular tape for 1st class shipping often. The roll I currently have needs to be replaced soon. I've had it for nearly 2 years

I also have the bigger more commercial hand held shipping tape dispenser and am always cutting the side of my hand with it. Plus I usually mangle the tape as I cut it off. I hardly use it anymore.

I currently have a roll of Staples brand. Never again. The end won't stay on the holder thingie, it keeps going back on the roll and it's impossible to get it to start again without losing a big section. Agrrhhhh. I need to go by Big Lots this week.

Val - try sliding those little bread closure clips onto each side of the dispenser where the tape comes out. They hold the tape off the roll pretty good.

What bead closure clip? My cutter holder thingie doesn't have that. This was a filler roll anyway, I was in Staples and needed something asap.

I buy it 16 large rolls at a time from eBay or Amazon - the heavy duty stuff.
