I sold an expensive bracelet and Tradesy is holding the funds pending a return. This buyer had sent me a question, prior to purchase, that was easily answered by reading the description. She admitted that she hadn't bothered to read the description on a $250 bracelet. The day she gets it, apparently, she wants to return it. No other info on what could be wrong but she's obviously claiming something so that she can get a refund rather than a credit. Of course, I'm infuriated. They had better find in my favor as the description was completely accurate and there were the maximum number of very clear pics. The bracelet was really superb. Grrrr!
cat cookie--did they find in your favor when that just happened to you???
So yes, the eBay scammers are working Tradesy now too, apparently.

I have a return request pending on a pair of shoes. She has until the 15th to return them and then they will take 5 days to check to make sure the description is ok.
It was bound to happen to me finally.
One thing I noticed is that they have been more often holding the fund originally. Used to be as soon as tracking was uploaded and verified they would release the money. Now they are holding almost everything.
Sounds to me like they didnt expect the amount of refunds the are actually getting on their dime.

I've always thought their return policy was unsustainable.

I've always thought their return policy was unsustainable. Me too. It seemed to good to be true. Apparently it was.

Yes, sadly they are sending the bracelet back to me. The buyer claimed it had some tarnish INSIDE the cuff, near the clasp, where you can't see it. So I lose the sale and wish I could lose the buyer for good but they don't do that. The person from Tradesy sent a nice email with the bad news. No threats or admonishments; she thought the bracelet was beautiful, which it is. But I'll be relisting.

And we run across yet another devious detective buyer.

I swear buyers all over are looking at the most obscure thing they can find to make it SNAD. So sorry Frakin. I'm sure in the near future we'll be taking photos of items inside out.

I think they're doing it to get a cash refund instead of Tradesy credit. Can't say as I blame them, TBH. I wouldn't want store credit for an online venue.

Tradesy is going to have to change something or else they will be loosing lots of sellers. Nah... where would sellers go? Most sellers list on both ebay and Tradesy. I also recently had a NAD return, but this really was my screwup. I sold an Anne Fontaine top that I couldn't unload for ages, was beyond ecstatic. Buyer said the shirt had stains on it. I got the shirt back and it sure did have those pale yellowish border stains visible under bright light. Somehow I missed that. I do remember washing and rinsing it by hands, so it's entirely possible I didn't rinse well enough - hence the marks from badly rinsed detergent. Came out just fine after machine washing.

Sold a Lilly Pulitzer dress and when I went to transfer the funds I see this message: Not yet available - pending buyer inspection. It has a little thing you click on and it says if you sold a designer item or if the buyer has initiated a return your funds will be held. Do you know how long they hold it?

Their "hold" policy is strange. A hold was placed on a $20 Lululemon top I sold, but they released fund immediately for a $260 gold & ruby pendant. A few pricey bags I sold I expected the hold, but a $20 top?
I'm starting to cringe when I sell something there now and that's the reason I sell very little eon eBay and only lower priced items for the most part.
I sold a bit on Shop Hers and although the commission was high it gave me peace of mind.

The only time I had to wait 2 weeks was when the buyer was returning the item and Tradesy had to decide if I described it correctly. Though the normal processing time is less than 2 weeks, not by much.
On small amounts it usually allows me to transfer funds as soon as the tracking number is updated. On more expensive items it says pending buyer inspection, which has been about 4 days. Then 2 - 3 days for the transfer to my account, though if I send it to Paypal it seems to go a bit faster.

I noticed that it goes by the brand, not the price at all. They hold funds on Michael by Michael Kors (LOL), Lululemon, Burberry, Tory Burch. So when I sell Michael MK top for $20, they do hold it. When I sell $200 St. John set, the release it right away

I see it says in their terms of service: Holding Period Tradesy, in its sole discretion, may place a hold on any seller earnings for up to 96 hours after the sold item has been delivered to the buyer, based on its own risk and security policies. Seller earnings will be available after the 96-hour hold period, except in cases wherein the buyer has notified Tradesy of an issue with the item purchased. In the event of an item-related issue during the hold period, Tradesy will notify the seller of the nature of the issue and reserves the right to hold seller earnings for as long as necessary to review and resolve the issue. I wasn't aware of this, I guess I should have read the terms, lol. She received it Saturday so we'll see if the 96 hour thing holds true.

They need to hire someone with language skills to write their policies. LOL.
"in its sole discretion" "based on its own risk and security policies"

I had some problems earlier on Tradesy with some holds, one being returned, which I resold. Also the Burberry was returned without the belt. Tradesy gave me a small credit. I ended finding a replacement belt, and it sold too. Luckily nothing returned since.
Definitely relist, it will find a good home.
Again I apologize for not seeing your post sooner!
