I've run into this before. Sometimes shipping through eBay, even with the discount, is higher than if I go to USPS and purchase my postage. WTH? Regional Rate A box on eBay would've been $10.77 after discount. Buying on USPS, it cost me $9.70. This often seems to be the case with regional rate or flat rate boxes. Anyone else notice this? Tonight's package was going from Overland Park, KS to Washington state.

If that's the case, it looks like eBay may have their zones incorrect. $10.77 should be to zone 8, while $9.70 would be zone 7. I just checked the chart and from Overland Park to WA state is zone 7.

I usually don't check--who has the time?--but once in a while on eBay it seems high, and if I'm not pressed for time I will check. I usually ship Padded Flat Rate and no worries there, but Regional Rate has been off as well as Priority boxes by weight three or four times in the past couple months (that I've bothered checking).

Thanks for the heads up. I don't usually check. Maybe I should start.

Wow, I've never checked.
Have you reported it to Ebay?
