Remember the teenager who told the US government how they could save up to $400 million on printer ink? www.cnn.com/2014/03/27/living/student-money-saving-typeface-garamond-schools/ Well, I have great news! I have an idea to save us money on printer ink and labels! All you have to do, when printing shipping labels, is set your printer to print them smaller! Less ink used means big savings! I recommend starting at 50%, then when the postal carriers get used to it, reduce it to 30%, or even lower! Imagine the savings! Not only will you save on ink, but you'll be able to get more than one label printed on a standard label, so you can cut them to a smaller size and save even more! This fabulous plan may require a small investment in a magnifier for each postal worker, but that's small potatoes compared to the incredible savings on ink! I've been waiting to share this fantastic idea until I felt the time was right. Happy April!

Is this an April's Fool Joke? If not, I apologize! But it's not a good idea to greatly reduce the size of the shipping labels on the packages because the bar codes cannot be scanned for acceptance or delivery many times when greatly reduced. Ina had a recent article about it but I can't find it - all I could find is this older article about it. I guess she does rinse and repeat her columns sometimes as it is almost identical to the one I just read. I think they said it was safe to go down to 75% only. www.ecommercebytes.com/C/abblog/blog.pl?/pl/2010/8/1283129166.html

Yes, it was supposed to be an April Fool's joke. That's what I meant about waiting until the time was right to post it.

Emerald, I thought so and was going to make a funny crack back, but then had a fleeting thought that maybe you were serious and didn't want to be rude!

I thought it was hilarious, Em. Especially the comment on the magnifying glass being small potatoes!
