I've been dumped in an email:
Tradesy for Business is dedicated to helping our professional sellers grow their business through our online marketplace. Due to the growth of our program, we have implemented a new criteria to qualify professional sellers.
Effective April 1st, 2016, sellers are eligible to remain in the Tradesy for Business program if they:
• Exceed 10 orders per month of $1,500 or more in sales
• Or exceed $10,000 a month in sales
Sellers must meet our new selling requirements to maintain their Business status. If you are unable to meet these requirements within 60 days, then you will not be eligible to be a Tradesy for Business seller. Please note, that you will still be a part of the Tradesy selling community but will no longer be regarded as a professional seller or receive membership perks.
If you have any questions or concerns you can email us at business@tradesy.com. Our Business team will reply to you within 72 hours.
In the meantime, we've created a PDF linked below of our eligibility requirements you can use to boost your sales!

Since I could reply with questions, I asked if my current listings would be left alone or still be subject to import. I also suggested more sellers would qualify for their business account if they would upgrade their search function. No reply yet.

What are the perks? I won't qualify but never noticed a difference anyway.
I was supposed to have one but they never synced my accounts.

"but will no longer be regarded as a professional seller or receive membership perks"
How does being regarded as a professional seller count?
I'd also like to know what the "perks" are.
ETA: they couldn't wait to get all of us over there - now we're not good enough I guess.......not enough "high end" items for sale.

How many listings are you up to over there?
And their search is TOTALLY pathetic.

Right now, I have 1113 but it changes daily because of they import from Ebay.

They want people to sell ALL THE SAME THING! The usual designers that everyone sells.
The search IS pathetic and sales are very slow. Them and their damned 'closet' fiction - it was supposed to be a buy/sell site for people closet cleaning, not some second rate version of Polyvore.

i know nothing about them, but if these are their professional seller requirements of used clothing of any kind, i'd love to meet these professionals....even if one sold high end anythings, that would be some tough criteria to meet on a regular basis. it would be $150 per item...off the top of my head, i cant really think of anything in the clothing realm that one would satisfy that criteria, and that one would have regular, monthly access to..at least on a steady basis.
handbag people, probably. shoe people, maybe.
but used clothing sellers? they'd be the anomoly rather than the norm.

I'm sure the Shop Hers merger has something to do with this.

Well, very odd. I don't sync with eBay as that wasn't working for me; I do everything manually. Haven't seen any perks, that's for sure, so I don't know what that is except maybe that they let you participate (at your expense) in some designer sales that they promote.. And while I've had sales there, I won't be able to meet these new criteria, of course. I guess they just want the mega sellers like Linda and BFHO who help kill the market for everybody.
chap, I think their original concept was the closet sellers (there were several sites that had a variation of this--Shop Hers, Vaunte) but none are/were that successful. This is the way they see to make money, I guess--adapt or die. But, yes, their search could kill them and is, of course, helping to kill us.

Their daily emails are driving me nuts. As is their search. I deleted my link.

If they deleted my entire account I wouldn't really notice. The last two things I sold there I had to cancel. One was a dress that sold on Ebay and then sold on Tradesy within an hour. It was an old listing. I don't get that one.
But since they won't sync my account things don't get deleted right away. And even when I do delete them they are there again the next day.
For such a hoity toity company they sure have an archaic website!

But it's all or nothing - either they cater to the huge sellers and/or the same old designer stuff everyone else has, or just little closet cleaners. They don't seem capable of merging or bridging the two. Every one of their emails to me is the SOS - Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Chanel, Yawwwnnnn...repeat. They used to have more of a variety in their advertising - who needs yet another website with the same designers as every other website? How about advertising both KWIM. That site is pretty funky, definitely. I'm still listing there, but if 1000+ listings isn't netting $10k a year, I'm not sure there's a big hope for my little 100 or whatever lol, not if people can't even find stuff.

I've tried to search for my things there and they NEVER come up. Even when using almost the exact words as in their terrible titles.
I'll tell you one thing - their closet sellers can't take pics or even hang a top on a hanger to look straight. Never saw so many crooked clothing hanging lopsided - it looks like one big mess.

I've been on there since about November or so and have sold a grand total of 8 items. And I really think the buyers just stumbled on to them.

I think the Ebay buyers are heading over there. I sold a top last week, the buyer wrote and complained of a smoke smell. She wanted money to dry clean it. It was a washable shirt. I told her Tradesy takes returns and it will go to Tradesy so please start that process. I never heard back.
Yesterday, I had a buyer "offer" me $28 for a dress priced at $75. It was priced wrong on Tradesy (as usual) and on sale on Ebay, so I countered at $49. She agreed and after I revised the price she kept telling me it was wrong. I didn't include free shipping and according to her all shipping on Tradesy is free. I explained, she flipped her hair and stomped off. Over night, she buys the dress and then sends me an email asking if it's authentic.
If this was Ebay, I'd be worried about selling to her. I'm going to answer her question but I'm going to wait until tonight to confirm the sale. Just a little dig, I can't help it! If Tradesy continues like this, I'm not too concerned about being dropped!
I agree with the crappy photos there. They are either awful or stolen from the original manufacturer.
Chap, my 1K listings have been there since November. In that time I've sold maybe $900 worth of stuff. The only thing I like is not dealing with any buyers AFTER a sale!

That's the thing I like about Tradesy too. Little to no contact with buyers and they take my returns. It also used to be, and still is, I think for me, that some things would sell that seemed to have no interest on eBay. But I certainly cringed when they went to "make an offer" as a default and that probably brought in the eBay divas.
Just got a buyer cancel her order a few seconds after buying a couple of days ago ("it was a mistake!" cue scenery chewing). After a few emails telling her to take it up with Tradesy, I finally figured out how to cancel a sale on my end (not easy to spot) and gave the reason as "buyer requested." Still got the admonishment letter from Tradesy telling me I better not do that too often. Gee, I'd rather not...

Thanks Val! I had a sale there today for $90. A few minutes ago, they asked to cancel.

I still havent gotten this email but I dont qualify. It went downhill after the merger with Shop Hers. And I agree, I am sick of seeing emails for Hermes and Chanel bags for thousands of dollars. How many people can spend that kind of money? Ugh.

My account rep (how do I have one if I've been dumped?) wrote and asked me if I wanted to participate in a sale this weekend on Tradesy. Go figure. I said yes and while I was asked it, asked her to fix some editing issues for me. I might as well take advantage right?
