If all you need is a longer handle, why not go to a lumber store and see if they have longer dowel rods in the diameter you need for your rake head? Might be cheaper.

Or if they have the length but not diameter, you could always whittle down the one end (if too big) or use some kind of filler (if too small). Harley might have some better ideas.

I live on the waterfront and while I haven't witnessed it yet myself I have been told that if grass builds up a boat will come by with a rake to clean it up. I saw grass floating around one summer and never saw such a boat, but neighbors say it exists. I don't complain about many things and the current took the grass out to sea anyway so i never called the town to say anything. I did see this site which has some devices used for all types of clean-up in lakes: www.lakeweeds.eventwebsitebuilder.com/weedersdigest.html

No, but I might buy one! We have so many trees and our pond is so full of leaves. It is probably several feet shallower than it used to be due to the build up of leaves!

I think I'm going to buy one. Just need to wait until my paypal balance is high enough. I hope one of those 22 people watching a 29.99 Free People sweater would go ahead and purchase the silly thing!

Today I was trying to clean my driveway up after the ice storm. Had been working hard cutting branches with the chain saw. When I finished I was so tired I thought about call DH to drive down and get me. When I got in view of the front door I could see my Lake Rake had arrived! This gave me the energy to get up the drive and put it together. It was almost dark but I did go down to the ponds to try it out. It does work pretty well. For me the only issue is our ponds have steep sides and the rake and the gunk have to be lifted straight up to clear the side. This can be pretty heavy. I'll update later when I'm able to spend more time. I only wish I would look like this girl in the advertisement when I use it. LOL

Holey Moley, that must be some rake if you wear you bitty pink bikini and still stay clean. I hope it works that good for you too.

When I finish working on cleaning the pond there is dirt even up my nostrils. My body hasn't touched a swimsuit like that in about 30 years.
