I don't. And I just noticed that Tradesy now has something called "Closet Settings" in a nice box to the upper right on our closet page. The default is that you want best offers. If you don't, go in and uncheck the box.

Thanks for this!
I do get offers on Tradesy every once in a while and I have taken a few. I wont use it unless they have an auto decline option though. I dont want a ton of low ball offers.

I get them too and I don't think I've accepted any. At the bottom, they say they use "smart limits" to make sure the offers are fair. I'm going to write my account rep and ask her to explain what those limits are. I'll post back when she responds.

I left mine checked because of the smart limits statement. Thanks for asking your rep because I would love to know!

I just got one that made an offer for two skirts that was less than the cost of one of the skirts. Yeah, I'll pass, thanks.

Tayla wrote back this morning. This was her response:
Our smart limits only allow a seller to offer 30% below the asking price to ensure our sellers are still able to make a profit. Once you accept an offer the user is charged and you can proceed as you would with a regular transaction.
I'm sure she meant buyer to offer 30%

Yep. I'm sorry they are doing this. I don't think 30% off is something people should learn to expect. Gee, I hate dickering on price. No best offers for me. Thanks chic for reporting back.

I take offers on ebay and hate it. Guess i might as well take them on tradesy. I haven't had a sale there for awhile now.

I have lowered some of my prices and won't take 30%. I might would do 15 or 20 if it's old, but since I can't price differently on Tradesy because of the import, I won't be accepting offers.

I think 30% is a bit too much. The most I have done is 20%. Why can't people just pay the price listed. I can't offer best price to Nordstroms.

Ugh. I had no idea about this new feature until a few minutes ago when I got severely lowballed on one of my items. I hate best offers with passion. In my opinion, "offers" was one of the things that killed Shop Hers (along with their genius desison to get rid of not high end enough designers). I will be turning off this option.

No. You can decline and they can send another offer, they have 3 attempts.

I'm still getting offers through messages even though I opted out of the default to accept offers.

I got an offer through Tradesy messages that I was happy to take. I changed the price, messaged her back about the price change, and...nothing! I told her the price would go back to regular price tomorrow.

I got my biggest sale on Tradesy this year with best offer. It was for a Chanel suit, wish I could find more of those!

It wasn't binding and the buyers would never follow through. Better now!

I love Best Offer on eBay. I have a "what I would like to get" amount (ie my starting price) and a "what I would sell it for" amount (ie my lowest offer). I'd say about 95% of the time, the offers are somewhere in the middle.

If they make an offer is that the entire price? I have one that messaged me and I have yet to respond.
