I very much wish I had Amazon JUST for this. I am a HUGE Harry Bosch fan.

Looks like the first episode you can watch for free.
I was reading the episode synopsis, and it looks like they sort of jumbled several books into the story line.
And I didn't think his daughter was that old when she was in Vegas.

Netflix does it too (Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, etc). I think the selection of shows they have is awesome. Amazon is running a trial on some of the series now, they even have kid shows to try and rate.
The shows they have remind me of the quality of HBO & Showtime, plus they push the envelope with nudity and swearing.

I read those books too, and have been seeing the ads online. Do you get that with Prime?

Amazon won a emmy this year for something, I can't remember which. Maybe the transgender show? I'm not sure but I think that is it. TV is changing in regards to the way people are watching it, that is for sure.

Now I'm wondering if JP Beaumont has one too and I missed it!

The SO and I recently watched a couple of the pilots for Amazon's new shows. Some good, some great and some look like good candidates for a hate-watch. Mad Dogs was great (pretty violent though) and Man in the High Castle has an interesting premise (based on a Phillip K Dick novel). I look forward binging on them soon.

I enjoyed Man in the High Castle too! I haven't read the book it's based on though. Our daughter loved one of the new kids shows, "Stinky and Dirty Show" based on the childrens books "I Stink" and "I'm Dirty".
We tried watching "Point of Honor" but it seemed pretty cheesy.

Val and Jeremy, did you like Harry's wife? I hated her with a passion! And I'm glad the daughter is older now and it's not so soppy.

I haven't see it yet. I'll probably watch tomorrow night when the kids are back at their mom's.

Not really. I liked her better after they split and she went to Hong Kong, although it was sad. That was a good book.

I've gotta say I like the earlier books better. But I'm looking forward to The Burning Room. I love cold-case stuff.

Have you read any of the JP Beaumont books by JA Jance? If you like Harry, I think you'll like Beau too.

Point of Honor looked like a live-action, cheap bodice ripping-historical fiction. Not that there's anything wrong with that! (I may have been referring to that when I mentioned hate-watching)

I LOVE Orange Is The New Black. It won a few awards as well. The future of TV watching is at a breaking point and cable companies are on the way out. For the first time in our lives, we are going to stop all premium channels via our provider. We watch nearly everything on Hulu, Netflix and now Xbox. I am considering buying the Amazon TV thing. I am a prime member so that would be a benefit for me.

We've got a Roku box and that thing is awesome (similar to Amazon TV). If hubby didn't like NFL football so much, we'd cut our satellite off too. I love our local news too, and we are not in range for any of the TV antennas to reach so for now we keep our Amazon/Netflix/Hulu/DTV combo.

I wont cut off cable all together. But I see no need to pay so much money every month for Premium channels. I will cut it back to basic cable. As long as we can watch The Walking Dead we are good.
