I find a replacement for an item that I love that does not work anymore.
i have an old Sony Dream Machine alarm clock. I can set the alarm to go off on the days I work each week. No need to set it each night. Of course I go to set the days the other day and notice the sound isn't working right. The alarm beeped 4 beeps and that was it.
found one on eBay for $20 and it arrived today. Very clean and I am testing it now. The sound works right.
of course after I bought it I sprayed the old one with a ton of canned air and it started working but I don't know for how long.

I like it when that happens too. Fun shopping!
Maybe you should write Wenig and tell him. Because Donohoe sure didn't get it.

A few years ago I knocked over one of DH's ceramic 7 Dwarves and broke it. Vintage 1960's. Found the replacement on eBay.

I think the best I've done is find tops I loved here when I needed a different size. I'd sell the one I had, then find my size here. It's hard to do that now.

I still totally enjoy buying on Ebay, I buy a lot of new things on Amazon, but I feel I still get great deals here.

Can't say as I blame Hank. Some of those yard gnomes are downright creepy.

I like to shop ebay too. When I buy toys for my granddaughter I always look for the vintage versions. The are larger and better quality. Look at the "trouble" games and "twister". The new trouble games are sooo cheaply made and the twister mat is about half the size of the original.

They keep saying we're all fat and getting fatter, so Twister should actually be twice the size. I just love ebay for cheap stuff and interesting stuff that I can't get here. We don't have thrifts like yours and new plus-size clothes are incredibly boring and expensive. I can get good used or NWT on ebay, including postage to Australia, for less than if I went to the shop. And I don't like going to the shop, I like getting parcels! And then there's my Libbey glass collection...and all those vases...

Wine glasses are just too small!

The things I buy are mostly replacements for my favorite videos. When the video tape copy of one of my favorite movies wears out or breaks, I can almost always get it on DVD or Blue Ray here.

Seriously, how could we send a message to Wenig about liking to buy on ebay because we can find things we need to replace, collect, be unique, etc. and not all the mass produced junk they've been encouraging.

Thanks for bringing up Trouble. I bought a new Trouble game for my grandson and me to play because my kids all played Trouble with their grandma, but the new version is awful. Every time you pop the popper, the game pieces fly out of their holes. Now I am going to buy an older version so I can actually enjoy playing with him.

I'm always tempted to Americanise for the internet, but sometimes I can't be bothered, lol.

I bought a missing yearbook a few years back on eBay.
Hubby always says that this is what eBay should be: a place for the unusual, unique and arcane. He is not interesting in something he can buy at Sears. That, he buys at Sears.

My second find this week: I wear men's jackets. i have broad shoulders so they usually fit better. My Columbia 3 in 1 is a bit of a pain to zip because I also have wide hips. The other day a coworker came in wearing a nice simple Kohls jacket. Not cinched at the bottom. I tried it on and fell in love. Jacket is from last Winter but I know Kohls tends to have some Sonoma lines that come back yearly. Looked on Kohls.com but could not find it. Figured I could go to Kohls and look around but it is so cold. Set up a saved search on eBay and one was posted today, NWT. Used my $5 off eBay app coupon and bought it.
