Someone in Australia just purchased two things from me. No contact ahead of time, so he/she paid full shipping on each. I'd like to combine into one package and refund the overcharge.
Is there any risk to combining an international shipment and only having one tracking number?

If you use bulk shipping, eBay will allow them to be combined and give them the same tracking number. Not sure if you can give them the same tracking number otherwise.

This is how I handle this:
Figure out the combined shipping amount, then go to PayPal and send a partial refund.
Go to eBay shipping and print a label on one of the items, changing the weight to the combined amount.
Print packing receipts and highlight the refund.
Go to the other item and click on add tracking. Add the copied tracking # from the other item.

Go to your sold items (or orders, depending on if you're in the new beta selling hub) Check the boxes next to both items, then click shipping actions then print labels. You will be able to combine orders there. It will assign the same tracking number to both items.
If you WANT to refund for shipping overage, just go to Paypal and send them $ via their email address. Just remember, if they purchased their items separately and made 2 payments, they cost your more $$ (Paypal transaction fees).

If you WANT to refund for shipping overage, just go to Paypal and send them $ via their email address. Just remember, if they purchased their items separately and made 2 payments, they cost your more $$ (Paypal transaction fees). If I refund directly through their email address rather than one of the transactions, should they choose to return or file INR, there'd be no record that I'd already refunded some of the initial payment, right? Although, I guess that'd also be a problem if I refund through one or the other of the payments and they wanted to return the item where I hadn't done the refund. They're not real high $$ items and neither the INR or return request is probably likely, so I'm probably being anal again. I've combined domestic shipments through Ebay a few times. Just wasn't sure if there was anything to keep in mind if I did so on an international shipment, especially since I insure all my international shipments through Inkfrog and I wasn't sure if they'd take the same tracking number for two different items. They probably will, though, since the tracking number automatically gets uploaded to Inkfrog from Ebay. Thanks, guys!

I do the same as Shopping, except I just do a partial refund (after printing the label) from one of the transactions. Inkfrog should be no problem.
