I'm installing some new plug ins on the site today. One is supposed to allow us to just type in the url of a photo or image and it will post as an image - no need to use fancy BBCode or html. And I've set it to resize but I don't know if I set the right size or not.
So if anyone wants to post some pics in this thread to help me test the feature, it would be very helpful!

Ah ha. If you're using Photobucket, simply copy the code titled IMG and paste in the reply window here:  Your selection in PB might look different based on your browser. If it does, again, just copy the code marked "IMG". |

You still have to host your picture somewhere, but you can now post the picture in your reply using the quick reply button or the reply button.

Size is set for medium. I don't think it needs to be any larger.  Does it need to be smaller though? I think you can still manually resize the pic once it's inserted. |

You can still go in and manually resize the pic. At least on firefox and chrome. The resize option doesn't work on Safari mac for some reason.

You have to resize it after it's posted.
So it's actually easier with big pics to use the insert image icon and resize it before it gets posted.

hmmm, what is with the code stuff? But at least I didn't have to go to FF in Photo B to get the image. Will try that anyway.

Are you using Imgr Denise?
You are using the wrong code.
You need to use "BBCode (message boards & forums)" and not "Linked BBCode (message boards)"

Not using Imgur (don't even know what that is). Got the pic from PB and coped from BBC. Did delete the outside codes.

I use Safari so I had to resize in Imgur.

Denise, go back and read Vals post #4, you are using the wrong code.
In PB you need to use the Image code.

In PB, copy the IMG code (next to last) and just paste it in the reply window. Quick reply or regular reply button, doesn't matter. You don't need to even use the BBCode tab here if you don't want to.
