Kenji does not make it easy to get pics of him. He is a Velcro kitten and never strays from my side or my lap. Has the markings of a Flame Point Siamese. He won't be here long as he is scheduled for an adoption event on 1/9 if he is not preadopted before then. His tail has been amputated due to an injury and he is on antibiotics for a few more days.

Poor little guy. Too bad they won't give him a little longer at Chez Kritter, to chill and destress.

He's gorgeous! And, with the tail amputation, the purrfect pet for clumsy folks.

The rescue gave me the opportunity to trade him tonight for 3 four week old kittens that she just took. She thought they would be good company for Trixie.
I passed. Trixie is doing just fine with the Missy family.

Will they let you keep him another week if he needs it? That seems like an awful lot of activity, moving and stress in such a short time.

Oh, is he leaving the wound alone without the cone being on?

Yes, he is leaving the wound alone. The cone he came home wearing was too big for him and he was having a hard time moving with it on so I thought we would give it a shot and removed it. So far, so good.
It is probably better for him to go to his new home as soon as healing is progressing.
A longer time in foster is not good sometimes because the cat gets attached to the foster and then has to break that bond and move again. As long as the chance of infection has passed and healing is in progress, he should be good to go.
If I had a doubt that he was ready to go, the rescue would respect that and delay his adoption for as long as necessary.

Awww, he's a cutie! Velcro cats can be annoying, but I really think they're the best kind.

Pics of both Kenji and Trixie were posted on the rescue website overnight so hopefully somebody will fall in love with them.

Maybe not because Kenji doesn't like Trixie or any other cat here.
Maybe she will get over it but maybe not. She could turn into another Kenya.

How is Kenya, anyway? How's the fur situation? You don't mention her much.

She was doing pretty good with the fur thing but then started licking again. I just switched her to a grain free food thinking some of the grains might be the issue. Maybe an allergy to corn or another grain that makes her skin itch. She is still a resident of my bedroom and is not interested in expanding her world. Kenji followed me to my bedroom the other night and Kenya just about stroked out and went into full attack mode. Didn't help persuade Kenji that other cats are her friends.

Kenji is going in for an adoption event at Petsmart this afternoon. Not sure if she will be coming back here or not.
I think Trixie will tag along just to see if she can get preadopted. She weighs 1.13 now so will be able to schedule her surgery soon.

LOL Tabby, she will be coming home for sure because she hasn't been spayed yet.
The rescue just called and she is picking up more kittens from the city shelter so there probably won't be room for Kenji at Petsmart if he doesn't get adopted.
I have to keep Kenji and Trixie separated because Kenji insists on whipping her baby ass whenever he sees her.

Put Kenji in with Sabrina, she'll fix him. A few hisses and a bash with a grown-up paw is what he needs.

Kenji is in day classes in the Sabrina Finishing School and Trixie has night classes.
Kenji doesn't bother the Missy family but only goes after Trixie because she is little.
Trixie and Daisy have a sister thing going on and they are cute together.
