Has anyone tried this and would you recommend it? It's supposed to smooth/file the dry skin on your feet.

I thought about it. Read all kinds of reviews. Some reviews said the item was a cheap piece of plastic and not worth the money.

Yeah, that's why I'm hesitating. If it was only a few dollars I'd take a chance, but I hate to pay around $40 for something I'm going to use once and then throw out.

My husband saw it and said I could just use his belt sander if I wanted to, lol.

I got it for Christmas and I love it!! I only get pedicures in the summer and do my own from fall until late spring. It is so good! Also I started using Mary Kay stuff and the satin hands are so great if you use the tool, cut and file, then take a hot bath and use foot scrub, put on the satin hands stuff and put socks on your feet. Next day super soft and smooth piggies!

I have one by this company linked below. It's battery operated but one of the more powerful ones. It works very good - you can have smooth heels in about 15 minutes, it also removes calluses very well. You just need to be sure you don't use it too hard as it can file away too much of your skin layers. If you scroll down on that page, you can see all the different heads that you can pop into it. It's easy to press the button and the old one comes out and you just insert what head strength you want. I mostly use the green - it is the strongest head. I highly recommend it. www.amazon.com/Emjoi-Micro-Pedi-Battery-Operated-Remover/dp/B005BG5CK6

Desire - I like the price on that one better. And that link also shows a newer version for $10 less, $19.99. Maybe I'll give it a try. Thanks.

Just to add in another product, once you do all your filing, there is a lotion called Miracle Foot Repair Cream, I have found it at Walgreens and Walmart. It really is a miracle worker. It is a tube that comes in a box.

There's alot of home remedies online. The dry heat in the winter really does a number on my heels and the bottoms of my feet. This week, I just started using petroleum jelly with socks, at night only, and in 3 days the difference is amazing.

I am getting OLD (66 now). I always hated looking at old peoples feet. Their toenails start to get thick and if you do not take care of them they get yellow and a fungus.
I have always prided myself on immaculate grooming. I will not go in the oven with funky feet or other body parts!!!
Dee, wish I knew about the one you got. You're supposed to clue me in on those things.

Just wanted to mention - I think the newer version stops if you press too hard - that is what I am reading in the reviews. The one I linked to doesn't do that. I think it's a new safeguard from being able to go too deep with the sanding. The green refills are the extra coarse - I found that the blue ones did not work as good and wore out faster.

Highendbuys:
I have one similar to the Amazon one. Used it once and was happier with the stone I use in the shower. I can send you mine with the new cylinder sander (it came with 2).
Please PM your address and I will get it in the mail by Tuesday. You can at least try it and decide if you want to order the refill cylinders
Rosemary
Hope you haven't already ordered one.
