I shipped an item to the UK on 12-7-15. It arrived back in my mailbox on 12-23-15. No return labels, customs notices, stickers, nothing on it at all. Tracking shows it left MS, went to FL, and then came back to MS. It never even got out of the south.
Shipping was a little over $17! The buyer still wants the $15 top. Will the PO make this right since it was their error or am I gonna have to eat it? I thought about just putting back in the mailbox since label has not been cancelled in any way but I'm afraid the postage is expired.

I wouldn't put it back in the mailbox, but I would take it to the PO. I know that mine would reship it because it was a PO mistake.

I'm taking it Monday, hope they will do the right thing and reship on their dime. Thanks! And Merry Christmas!

Just had that happen on a package to France. It left our post office and went to the sorting center and came right back. No stickers of any kind. Just appeared in my box. Went in and the clerk took it without any problems. Said that sometimes this happens for no known reason. You probably want them to re-scan it again, otherwise it shows delivered to you. When they re-scan it shows it on its merry way again. I also didn't need any paperwork and the postage was WAY out of date, like yours.

Well I took it the PO today and the worker looked confused and said she had no idea what to do. She just rescanned it again. DC is not showing it yet though.

That is what my post office did. Just treated it like it was a brand new package brought in. Rescanned and sent on the way again. Although, without confused looks.
