I decided to beef up my Tradesy listings and move over the sweaters I just put on Ebay recently. I dont import because, well, it didnt work right.
Go to list and get the new Describe what you are listing box at the top right. It then pulls up whatever else on the site is (in thier opinion) similar and asks if I want to copy a listing. This immediately sent my hackles up. Because we all know that good sellers LOVE it when another copies out listings. So I gave it a shot and saw that it only brings over some item specifics. That is at least better.
But now, every time you start a new listing it creates a draft for you. Then you have to go in and delete the drafts.
Another thing I noticedm the price suggestor is telling me to list everything for $13. So it must be not working OR the Linda's of the world are already driving the price down on Tradesy.

LOL on your last comment. I agree it's another stupid hassle that saves no time.
The site is not at all the same concept it started as. It's morphed into a hot mess, mostly a handful of large retail sellers.
And I am still scratching my head at the idea that Shophers landed there. I know the buyers probably won't be going there either. Why would they, Tradesy doesn't authenticate.

I drafted an email to my rep letting him know of my complaints and complaints to sellers I have heard. Grumbling I called it. He is going to call me on Wednsday when he gets back to the office.
I did let him know that professional sellers do not like anyone copying their hard work. The search sucks. I dont want extra work deleting drafts.
We will see.....
I know that Ebay is dead for me. I did less this year than I did in the first year I started. And I started in May of that year. And now more Chinese crap. I am listing my inventory in both places but I am not buying anything new.

I don't think shop-hers buyers will be going to tradesy either but only because I think most buyers on shop-hers were from other countries and they can't buy from tradesy without a freight forwarder. Every single message I got from buyers on shop-hers I could tell there was a language barrier which is why I assumed that but I could be wrong! I am still in mourning over the loss of Shop-hers.

It's the wild west anymore with online selling, very discouraging with unreliable sales. It's good that you sent the email. I wish more people would get involved like that.

Wow, that was fast.
I spoke with y new rep yesterday and gave her my feedback on the new listing page. Today I go in and have a brand new listing page. I can now choose between using the catalog (search and copy a listing) or going straight to the listing form.
Something to be said about a company that listens to its customers. the sellers.

That is awesome! I noticed yesterday that they changed the sell item page to include the second option. I am wondering why the search on there isn't working right, it's only showing the first page when searching new listings! I am hoping it's just a glitch on Firefox. Although I have never had this problem before using that browser. I hope other people aren't having trouble looking at our stuff on there.

I was over at OT and saw several experienced long time Ebay sellers saying they got denied for a business account. I was shocked!
Tradesy sent them links to stores that had what Tradesy considered the type of items they wanted. Mostly LV, Chanel, etc. I wondered in the back of my mind if this was going to happen when they bought Shop Hers. I dont have confirmation, but it is definitely something that we should keep an eye on.

Not expecting anything good coming out of this new pairing.
I don't see a lot of small sellers listing there like before. When I search on there, it appears there are pages and pages from a handful of large sellers with high priced top designer items.
I am afraid it will turn off a lot of regular customers who only want a bargain.
