A 2-Day priority package sat in Dallas for 2 days. Shipped 11/30, finally moved out of Dallas this a.m. and scheduled for delivery (per website) on Monday. Regular Priority, not the Smartpost crap.
Speaking of Smartpost...two orders sat at the Denver sort center for 2 days before being transferred to the USPS this morning. FedEx says delivery Monday, USPS only says they've been notified.
Package from here taken to USPS and handed to counter clerk on 11/27. Scan says accepted 11/28. And nothing else. Thank goodness this is not an eBay order I'm shipping.
UPS package also sat in Dallas, for 3 days. No idea why, it's regular UPS ground. Checked the weather, no issues in Dallas that would have delayed either UPS or USPS.
I think I may track my buyer shipments this week, just in case.

I have a first class package that doesn't have a scan at all and was mailed on the 28th

Usually the sort center here is on it with scanning it and out the same day it was mailed.
Now they don't seem to be scanning out at all.
The package is scanned as Accepted at my post office, then Accepted at the Origin Facility which must be the sort center and then nothing until the package makes and appearance on down the road to where it is going.
I am just happy that it is scanning as Accepted so it shows that I mailed it.

So far I haven't had any complaints, but I am sure there will be. There are always slower (or even lost) shipments this time of year. I hope its not more than a handful of issues for any one of us.

I just got a package today by Priority mail that was mailed on Monday. Supposed to be 2 days and it took 5.
Nothing I have coming in is very time sensitive so I will just be happy when I get it, but many buyers are not going to be so understanding and will ding sellers.
First class mail is even worse, I checked a few things I have coming just to see how things were going and it looks like they aren't even scanning First class after it's acceptance.
I hope none of you get any impatient bitchy buyers.

Think I'll bulk edit all m FC items and change them to PM today. I usually do this over Thanksgiving weekend but I got busy and forgot.

Ironically the PM package that took 5 days to get here to NM all the way from VA came much quicker then a FC package only coming from TN. That one has been in the system for 7 days. A previous item I purchased from that same TN seller 2 weeks ago got here in only 3 days by FC.
So as slow as PM is right now FC has ground to a halt.
Might be a very good idea to bump stuff up to PM for awhile.

When the DSRs first started, I still offered Parcel and FC at Christmas. My shippping time DSR was dinged like crazy that year. After that, I started flipping everything to PM from Tgiving to Christmas. Really cut down on the DSR dings. I know they won't count soon, but still the star is there for buyers to see.

I had a package drop off the radar for 3 days in the NTX P&DC in Coppell, Texas which is apparently another black hole for the USPS.
I felt something may be amiss earlier when I saw the package initially go from the sort center here to the sort center in Dallas on the way to Virginia. I don't think I have ever had a package go to the sort center in Dallas from here unless the package was going to Dallas.
Anyway, from the sort center in Dallas it went to the Coppell black hole and sat there for 3 days.
Last night I sent a request for email tracking info to be sent to me and the initial email immediately returned showed the San Antonio to Dallas to Coppell tracking. Then this morning I get 4 more emails showing the package zooming through the system overnight and now it is out for delivery.
Koinkydink, maybe, who knows, but it wouldn't hurt to ask for that email tracking on a delayed package just in case.

You all will appreciate this.
I just had a seller contact me yesterday, I used buy it now on a pair of jeans around the 1st and her email was...I didn't realize that you had purchased these jeans I don't check my account very often. I will get them in the mail soon. Lol, luckily I am a laid back type of buyer or seller could have a mess on their hands. It has also been 70 degrees here so really not needing jeans too much yet. Their feedback was 99.7% or something around there.

Maybe she needs a mess on her hands. Sellers like that give the rest of us a bad name. IMHO. Local first class is even delayed now, by as much as a week. Guess they're trying to get the priority Christmas presents delivered and don't care about the FC bill and subcontractor payments.
