You know, I sell a few things here and there on Tradesy. So I sold a couple items, and thought I'd buy a simple black knit skirt with the proceeds. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
What a useless search! It doesn't seem to pick up your key words at all - only what you put in the pre-set categories. I wanted to see black KNIT skirts from any brand, in my size, at the length I chose. What a joke. You get EVERY black skirt. No narrowing it down for knit. And they show the sold out listings. What is the point of that?
My cousin mentioned that she won't shop on Tradesy for this reason. Particularly the sold outs showing. Who cares what you can't buy anymore?
I bought the skirt on Ebay and transferred the Tradesy $$ to Paypal.
I thought Ebay's search was useless, but this is worse.

Ugh! I just started listing things there and hearing this is discouraging.

I agree their search sucks.
You can, however, drill down on the left side to only show the ones still available instead of including the solds. Took me a while to figure that out, though.

I find it hard to get to my OWN listings! Their search and edit features are both awful, but I have hopes it will get better. I've only had a few sales there but they were all higher priced than I had the items listed on Ebay.

I don't think their search can get better until the goofy titles do.
I have not sold anything for 2 months. I started an import because I don't have the time to devote anymore. It has been about a month and nothing has been imported. I emailed them about it and they put my stuff on sale, on their dime, but still? Supposedly my rep will be contacting me.
However back to the original subject, it won't matter if their search remains useless.

Maybe we should all contact them and tell them it sucks. Anonymously, of course, lest they get their feelings hurt and ban us.
While I don't sell much there, I do sell 3 - 5 items a month, and for far more $$ than Ebay. Plus it takes literally 3 minutes to copy an Ebay listing, and costs me nothing to list.

I don't know if this means diddly-squat, but since I've been listing some things both on Ebay and Tradesy (about 6 weeks ago), I've sold 32 items from EBAY and had to remove the listing from Tradesy. I've sold 1 thing from Tradesy. Are people looking in both places and choosing Ebay because they are listed cheaper there?
ETA: Oh, and my entire Tradesy closet is "on sale, paid by Tradesy". Is this normal??

Is this normal?? They run those sales periodically so yes, it's normal. I don't know what criteria they use for putting things on sale though. As for buyers, I have a hunch (and it's only a hunch) that there's not a huge amount of overlap between Tradesy and Ebay buyers. I'm sure some people comparison shop at a seller's different venues, but that's probably more work than many people are willing to do. There may also be some sort of search engine foo that makes your things more visible in Google if you have them listed on multiple sites, but again I'm just guessing.

Additional suckage at tradesy. Went there yesterday just to see what they had in leonard paris stuff, if it was 'worth it' to maybe list there instead of ebay. HOLYMOLY If you search for leonard paris - you get every listing that has leonard OR paris in the title. How does anyone find anything? I even put it in quotes and still got every kinda leonard and paris. Finally found one listing - for lennie by nina leonard paris - Checked out the listing, all mixed up. It was a leonard paris skirt suit but said it was lennie by nina leonard in the title and description. Noticed the list of their 'designers' up at the top and went to check that out. They had Lennie by Nina Leonard on 2 lines when it belongs on one. And they didn't have just 'leonard' or leonard paris. Sellers were clicking on the 'leonard' on the 2nd line meaning 'leonard paris' but tradesy was putting the stuff under lennie instead. I emailed the one seller to tell her and then kinda ranted at customer service about it. They now have the stuff that was on 2 lines on one line but still haven't added leonard paris. SHEESH

Tradsey drives me crazy! Yes, the search is very bad there, cannot find anything correctly.
I had to turn my token off because I run a lot of 10-day listings. They would disappear because Tradsey thought they had sold, then they would re-import them and they would need editing again. Somehow when you edit the description block on Tradsey, it messes up your description area and adds html to it - then I would need to fix all that again second time around.
Finally I revoked the token on ebay. Then about a month later I wrote Hunter and asked for a re-import to get new listings over there, but he said it wasn't a simple procedure, they could not reinstate the token, that I would have to manually list everything over there. Don't know if that was BS or not, but I listed a few weeks and then just didn't have time to do constant double listing.
Many times my listings don't disappear when I personally delete them over and over, Hunter had to get rid of two of them for me, or things will disappear on their own, and I also get duplicate listings showing up now and then without auto-import.
Sometimes ebay is not so bad!

Yep. They seem to have a lot o' bugs in the system. I even had the pricing on one item get all wonky.

I also had to revoke my tokem on ebay because of listings being messed up. I have been asking for a re import but was told it could not be done. I do not understand because they did it the first time so why can't they do it again. I just have to do it manually and it does take up a lot of time.
