Why do I think lots of holiday buyers will be using that to their advantage?
I think it's time I look into using one of the merchant services approved by eBay. I think PayPal policies are going to continue to get worse now that Donohoe is in charge there.
I'm also wondering if it's even legal, the shipping requirement as worded:
Do services such as Endicia, USPS Click N Ship, UPS WorldShip, USPS First Class Mail International, or Stamps.com provide valid Proof of Delivery or Proof of Shipping?
In order to be covered under Seller Protection, the information provided by the tracking number from the shipping company must meet the proof of shipping or proof of delivery requirements. Please verify that the information from the shipping services meets these requirements.
I don't think any of those have online access at six months, do they?

HOLYCRAP! I just checked and I can go back to 12/2/13 and supply delivery info.
Have I said lately how much I love stamps.com?

So stamps.com keeps the data in your account for you?

It's in my online history with them. I can print or email the all the info except the delivery details I copied/pasted above. That's in a link in the 'report'; dunno if the link works outside of stamps.com

I have my shipping from eBay automatically deducted from Paypal. I can check current year and previous year.

You're right. It only provides tracking number.

If you have the tracking #, from what I've read. You can call or contact the PO and they will reactivate the info for the tracking so it shows up again. So I think as long as you have a way to find the # you will be fine. The post office has the records, they just go offline after a while. You can get them back online if you need to prove delivery and as long as you ship through ebay/paypal you have the DC#.

I think they wait longer than 6 months before they reuse them so we should be ok there
