Thanks. I love all kinds of Corningware. I have a question (please feel free to move this if it isn't in the right place.) About 10 years ago I listed a Corningware Cornflower Blue Percolator. I was told (on the old caboard, I think) that those were recalled because they were dangerous and not to sell it. So this site reminded me of that experience. I looked and found: www.corellecorner.com/company-history/241-corning-ware-percolator-recall-1976-1979.htmlLooks like the percolators are getting good prices. Question: are these the same ones that were recalled? The handles fall off and people get burned. Anybody know?

I think they are technically illegal to sell because they are still recalled. I am in some Pyrex and Corning FB groups and people still sell them there despite the recall. However, there is much less risk in selling to a fellow collector via FB than on Ebay were they may slap you with something because of it, imo.

I bought one at a GS a few years ago. Tried to list it, and eBay had a warning about the recall.
Did not list it.

Thanks for all the information. Looks like we shouldn't buy them for resale, that's for sure. But people are getting away with it and buyers will be pouring hot coffee from them, not knowing the risk of getting badly burned. I guess the answer is to report any listings of them.
