Just wanted to post about one of my buyers that makes all the crap just a little bit easier to take.
Buyer purchased a pair of sandals on New Years Day. Took her sandals and another purchase to the post office on 1/2 and handed them both to the post master who had been helping another customer at the open help window. The package bin was jammed.
Three days later the other package arrives at it's destination across the country and the sandals never show a scan. Buyer lives 80 miles away-I could have driven them to her. Go back to the post office and nothing shows on their internal scan. Refund the buyer and file a lost package claim a week later which was paid by the post office.
Tonight I get an email from the buyer saying that the sandals finally arrived and she would like to repay me. I told her that the sandals were a gift from the post office. She was a pleasure to deal with through the whole transaction.
I looked up the tracking and it shows that I brought it in on 1/2 but it doesn't go to the sorting center until 1/23 so I guess somebody at my post office was using it for a paper weight for 3 weeks.
If she hadn't been honest and emailed me, I would have never known that they finally arrived.

I love buyers like that. I don't recharge them either. Best part? They come back and buy from you again.

I didn't know they would pay on a claim when it doesn't show scanned. I figured that it had to be scanned at least once. I left a package in my car once until I either found it or the buyer asked about it (been too long, don't remember anymore) so it could happen that the PO never receives it.

This is what the tracking showed. I had filed the claim before 1/23 so it was still in limbo.
I don't know where they got that "shipping Label Created at 03:36 on 1/2" because I printed the label on 1/1.
