A while back I was considering listing some things on Tradesy. I am easily annoyed by their search. I can't seem to get a good grasp on it because it keeps resetting itself when I'm trying to drill down. Most likely it's just MY impatience to properly learn how to navigate the site. Then I found that I have a couple of things worthy of Shop-Hers so I wandered over there. SQUIRREL! I need to get back to tackling Tradesy so I can work on spreading out. I'd like to hear some feedback from those of you who are listing on tradesy or have given up on it. What you like or dislike. Over the years I've lost countless hours setting things up on Bonanza only to end up with a big old goose egg. I'd hate to waste more time setting up on Tradesy to have the same thing happen. I think I'm most curious about: - do you price your items similar to your eBay pricing - do you do your own shipping or do you use Tradsey's supplies ummm, I don't know what else... what are you willing to share? Thank you!

Yeah, listing on Tradesy for me is tedious, but I do have some things listed there. As far as sell through, it's very S L O W there for me, though TBH, I haven't been consistently listing things. It seems I sold more in the beginning, but in the last two months - nothing - but again, my listings are minimal.
I price similar to eBay - taking into consideration the fees and such (I do the same thing with ShopHers). And in the beginning, I used Tradesy's supplies, but they took too long to get to me, so I just use my own polymailers/boxes, but I print their free labels.
I *try* to list things on Tradesy right after I list an item on eBay - because I have all the listing info/photos readily available - and just do a cut&paste with my descriptions. I do have to tweak it a little, though, because of Tradesy's format. (Same thing goes for ShopHers).

I'm pretty paranoid about listing things on 2 places at once. I just don't trust myself. I use TurboLister for eBay so even for things I list directly to Shop-Hers, I create the TurboLister listing first and save it in a Shop-hers folder. This way if I decide to move it to eBay later, I don't have to go digging the thing out of the closet to weight and fill in the Item Specifics. I'd rather "waste" 3 minutes now, than a half hour later! "Which bin did I Put that in?!?!" I still need to figure out how to easily find my photos to upload them to the correct site.

I'm pretty paranoid about listing things on 2 places at once. I just don't trust myself. Yeah, that can be a concern, but I'm a small part-time seller, so it's not difficult for me to monitor the few items I have (usually around 100, though right now I'm down to 70).

Sales on Tradsey are slow for me, unless I have purses. I price things less because sales are less of a hassle then ebay and I would rather sell it there first. I ship everything myself, more comfortable with it, I guess. I only have 43 things listed there. I think not sure but if you have 100's of listings you'll obviously do a lot better, again I thinK??? For me it's worth it because a sale is a sale and it isn't a big deal to list it when I do ebay. I don't have many listings so I can keep up on multi-channel sales. Good Luck

I've been trying to put a few listing up a week but it has been slow going. I haven't had a sale there yet so I have no real advice on pricing. I do plan on using my own shipping supplies though. I'd rather not wait for their shipping kit to arrive.
I am fairly hopeful for it as an alternate venue now that their listings are showing up in google. I found one of mine trying to find the name of anthropologie top a few weeks ago. That is very promising to me as ebay and google are not so friendly anymore.

I was just searching for a jacket I bought today, to see if I could find it for sale on any other sites. I found it sold on tradesy for $55 used. Mine is NWT so it might be worth me tossing it up over there. It's WHBM the retail on it is like $168 or something. Couldn't find the same one ended on ebay. I'd like to get $80 out of it but that may be higher than it would sell for on either site. I paid $20 though so need a enough to make it worth while.
If I could find a site that sells WHBM well I'd be in heaven, I have a lot of it.

Tradesy may see a rise in sales. It was featured on the Today Show this morning.

I don't like the limited size breakdown for plus sizes there (as a buyer), but it appears they allow most plus size brands. Yay! Most of the pictures sucked, at least on the listings I looked at. Which could be a good thing for an eBay seller, since we tend to have better pictures.
Hmmn. Do I want to use my eBay ID or my standalone site ID (that isn't built yet, LOL).

I listed one item on Tradesy tonight. Thanks for the inspiration.

I like Tradesy because I can duplicate my Ebay listings - I just cut and paste from Ebay while listing and transfer to Tradesy at the same time. If you get a sale on Tradesy they ask you if the item is still for sale - that way if it sold on Ebay already, you can just decline the sale and no harm no foul.

Thanks for that info kidz. I may move more there. Is it brand limited?

No, it isn't brand limited.
I really like everything about Tradesy except for the shortage of buyer traffic. I am hopeful that will come in time, though. I think every stupid change that eBay makes gives the other sites a bit of a boost.
I am currently listing things there that are already listed elsewhere, which is kind of a catch 22. If buyers don't have to go there to find what they want, the traffic probably won't increase all that fast. But at the same time, I can't rely on things selling there right now so I have to list them other places too.

I prefer to use different names on different sites--particularly if you have different prices for the same item selling on different sites. Also, if someone gets mad at you on eBay, say, where you have them blocked, they can't find you on another site to retaliate. Just sayin'...

So have any of you that already list there made a sale recently? Trying to decide if I want to bother copying some over or not.

I have an average of 100 items up there at any given time. I sell about 1 item every 3 weeks, but my prices are high. I've thought about lowering them to see what happens, but I've been too lazy. There's no bulk edit feature, so it would one at a time, and meh, not enough sales to justify the time.

I got about 6 over there. Priced them about the same as I put them on sale price (or minimum BO price) on Ebay. No luck so far. Not sure if I want to list more over there to increase the odds or not. Not sure it's worth it.

Cross-listed a couple of purses on Tradesy a few weeks ago. Those were my first and only two listings. Sold one of them today. Yay! I had it listed on Ebay for $125. I don't remember, but my guess would be that I listed it for the same of higher than the Ebay price since that's what I do for Shop-Hers, but I must've had it a little lower as they said that my payout will be $104.65. They say they only take 9%, right?
No matter what, I'm happy with the ROI and happy to no longer be a Tradesy virgin. I looked around a bit to see if there's some way to put stuff on vacation there. Does anyone know? I'm going to be away for over two weeks in early April, so I need to do something with the remaining listing. If no one here knows, I'll give them a call tomorrow.

I have things listed on Tradesy & Shop Hers, mostly dupes of some ebay things. I never sell anything on Tradesy. I sold one top there about 6 months ago...it seems I only go over there now to delete listings, for items that sold on ebay. I do pretty well on Shop Hers. I like listing there, and I like the quick payout, right into my bank account. I find their brands limited though, not just to high end brands, but to popular high end brands. I have some very expensive designer brands (AF Vandervorst, Damir Doma, Avant Toi) that they've never heard of. So, I might end up listing those on Vestaire, but I really don't want to go to yet another venue. Anyone here sell on Vestaire? Seems like a lot of trouble to fill out an application & get reviewed...

I had 2 sales on Tradesy in the last 2 days after crickets for a long time, plus an ASQ on another item. Not sure if it's a coincidence or if I got a boost in search once the first item sold.
Strangely, all 3 items were ones I didn't have listed anywhere else, and I have very few that were listed there exclusively.
I've only had one sale on Shop Hers since they cleared out half my store.

I had my first sale on Tradesy: a vintage Laura Ashley dress. The sales process was pretty straightforward: I got an email, approved the sale, and downloaded a shipping label.
One of my biggest gripes with Tradesy is the lack of control over listing titles. I listed a couple of things from designers that weren't in their database, so the auto-generated titles were really generic ("tweed sweater", "knit pants") and there's no way to edit them. I emailed CS and asked them to change the titles, and they did. Maybe they'll change this eventually, but for now if you want to edit a title try asking them.

Tradesy has picked up for me. I've been selling 1-2 items per week for the past few weeks. These are items that are also posted on Ebay for less. The process is easy. I use my own postage, so no waiting and they credit you once there is a scan on the tracking.
No threat of returns for fit, no stupid stars, etc.
I just cut and paste my descriptions when listing on Ebay, takes maybe 2 minutes to complete the Tradesy listing. Works for me!

Just saw something you all should look into. www.tradesy.com/businessI dont have many details yet and you have to apply and wait to be excepted. But apparently nce you do you can import your listings from Ebay and it will keep them updated. Also, my sales on Shop-Hers have picked up a little. I am selling about 1 item a week there. Doesnt sound like a lot but when you only have 20 items listed, it isnt to bad..
